This cartridge is the Legend 225 Grain SCHP 44 Magnum. The .44 Remington Magnum, (or simply .44 Magnum) is a rimmed, large-bore cartridge originally designed for revolvers, however after its introduction it was quickly adopted for carbines and rifles. It is based on a lengthened .44 Special case loaded to higher pressures for greater velocity. It is known for deeply penetrating bullets, making it suitable for short-range hunting of all North American game. It is also known for heavy recoil and muzzle flash. This cartridge is loaded with a 225 grain solid copper hollow point (SCHP) projectile, a bullet equally at home in hunting, varmint control, home defense, concealed carry and target shooting. An SHCP projectile will not corrode, change shape or cause unwanted pollution, making it an acceptable option in areas which have gone “lead-free,” including ranges and hunting areas.
