• Q: I have a Ruger MKV that won't cycle sub sonic .22 rounds. Will this model cycle those?

  Hi Roland, it is highly unlikely this will cycle subsonic rounds, they just don't generate the pressure needed to cycle.
  Subsonic rounds are more suited to lever action and bolt action rifles, and revolvers.

  Mark, no sir, this model is not on the CA roster of approved handguns. A semi-auto handgun can not have a threaded barrel.

  Artee, yes sir, even with the threaded barrel this is legal in new jersey. You're allowed one restricted feature and this only has one, so this is perfectly legal. Hope this helps and enjoy. • Q: Does this weapon have the decocker as the SIG Mosquito did, or just the safety?

  Marc - this is the exact same pistol as the mosquito, and comes with the decocker. Actually, ATI manufactured the mosquito for SIG, SIG put their name on it and sold it as a SIG. SIG terminated the contract with ATI, and ATI simply re-released it with their name on it.

• Q: Is this is the same pistol as the sig mosquito with no revisions, I would caution buyers because the sig mosquito was a bust for sig. it would only shoot cci’s. Plus you had to change springs.

A couple of weeks ago, American Tactical Imports (ATI) announced that they would be importing the .22 pistol formerly known as the SIG Mosquito under new GSG Firefly branding. According to German Sport Guns (GSG) Chief Executive Director, Michael Swoboda, SIG Sauer recently changed company policy and discontinued the rimfire pistol.   No Joel, you would have to purchase an 1/2x28 adapter separately as this pistol has a 4" threaded barrel (M9 x .75 pitch).
• Q: walther p22 v. this gun. is an extra $80 worth it? feedback with a little input/info PLEASE.

  My opinion would be yes the Walther is worth the extra coin. I have seen a few (although not many) with cycling issues with low power "bulk" 22 ammunition with the Firefly. Sure higher velocity 22 will alleviate this but the P22 seems to handle a wider range of 22 ammunition more consistently. That said, I think they both will work for their intended purpose.
