The Ruger LCP II is the Best-In-Class Lightweight Compact Pistol. At just 5.17" long and 3.71" tall, the LCP II is designed to fit a variety of holsters and provide concealed carry options. It has a short, crisp trigger pull with a single action feel. The textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip and the larger grip frame surface provides better distribution of recoil forces. The fixed front and rear sights are integral to the slide, while the hammer is recessed within the slide. Safety features include bladed trigger safety; neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension; and hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. Includes a finger grip extension floorplate that can be added to the magazine for comfort and grip, a pocket holster and one 6-round magazine.

The LCP 2 .380 is a hot little gun shot well the first 150 rounds. My second go around of shooting was problematic. The stock magazine retention spring is weak and if you have a sturdy strong grip the stock magazine retention spring is not strong enough and after every shot the magazine would pop out.

Spent time on the Ruger forums trying to problem solve. Eventually gathered the data I needed and figured I\'d let Ruger rectify the situation. (Great costumer service btw)

Sent back to Ruger for a quick fix and bought an aftermarket magazine retention spring just in case Rugers fix does not hold out.

This issue is concerning to me since I would use this as a CC firearm during the summer.

Shot groupings are good for a short barrel.

Comes with a pocket holster and fits in your pocket really well.

When I first got this gun, I took it out to the range and right away, I had problems with mag drops after every shot or two. I had to constantly keep pushing the mag back in. I had read about that happening to others before because of a weak mag release spring but I also read about a simple fix as well. I replaced the mag release spring with a slightly thicker spring made by MCARBO and now I have no more mag drops while shooting. After firing off a few mags, I am confident now about using it as my conceal carry gun. I haven't had any other problems. It feeds well, ejects well, and I love the small size for just sticking it in my pocket on my way out the door. As far as Buds, well they got this gun to me within a few days so huge props to them for that. I've ordered a few guns from them over the past month and only one took a few weeks. But there's a "pandemic" so I understand.

Waited for weeks for a local shop to get this in, so finally ordered off Buds and had it a couple days later. Looks good, excited to get some rounds through it. It is small!

Perfect gun for my wife's carry conceal. She picked it out, loved the size and feel. We used the layaway option. Which was great she knew what she wanted at that time and gave us the option to throw a little money each week at it, until it was paid in full. At that time 3 days (paid on Friday, arrived at FFL on Tuesday) arrived and was easy and quick. Glad we became Buds Team members this year.

Great fast shipping from Buds as usual. Like this gun alot, perfect for CC, extremely light and thin, does not print at all, I even forget I\'m carrying it. However second time at the range I was getting mag releases constantly. The magazine clicks in but sits out about 1/8th of an inch and wiggles/rattles. The mag release spring is so soft that the recoil from the gun is causing the mag to drop during firing. I even fired it in ways that my fingers could not hit the mag release and it still dropped multiple times. I sent it to Ruger to fix. This is the second handgun I\'ve bought from Ruger and I\'ve had to send in both right away for repairs. I will still rate this high because I think this just happened to be a lemon because I haven\'t heard of anyone else getting this issue really. However I\'m kind of sour on Ruger now, I think my next gun purchase will definitely be giving another company a chance to send me quality.

A great little gun which weights hardly anything and slips right into your pocket. Shooting I was presently surprised how far out I could get a nice grouping. You can’t beat this little .380 for the price and quality. Highly recommend 😊

This is a great pocket handgun. I carried the first addition of the handgun for many years and recently decided to upgrade to the newer model. I'm glad I upgraded to the newer LCP because this gun has some very nice upgrades. I also purchased this same gun in the 22 LR caliber at the same time I ordered this gun. I'm very happy with both guns and Bud's has some great pricing and fast shipping. This is a deal, one gun for carry and basically the same gun to practice with only using much cheaper 22 LR ammo. I highly recommend both of these handguns.

So far has been an unboxing after receiving my new Ruger LCP 2 from Buds Gun Shop. First time buying a firearm online and everything was silky smooth from placing my order to getting the gun to my FFL dealer. Hats off to Buds for the thrifty pricing and professional service I received. My first Ruger and as an mini concealed weapon. Very impressed with it so far. Haven’t been able to fire it but already love the convenience of its concealability. Got some extra mags for it and ready to go to the range as soon as winter gives us a break.

Hey Buds, I put 50 rounds of federal .380 in and out of it and there were no problems. I then tried 20 rounds of critical defense and same result. I have to watch myself and stay away from mag eject, fat fingers. Great gun and wonderful experience with Buds and my local FFL. Thanks...

Eric, no, it does not. There is no magazine disconnect safety so a chambered round can be fired by its lonesome if need be.

This is the LCP 2. They have introduced a trigger safety and have shortened the trigger pull to give it more of a single action feel. Still is a double action.

Hi Erick, usually when popular firearms get critically low in stock, they are moved to Team Buds Only as one of the TB benefits. I know this practice does you no good now, but this restriction will be removed when the firearm is restocked. I wish I could give you a specific time frame but this is impossible. My guess would be a couple of weeks. Michael, any of the standard 95gr full metal jacket such as Fiocchi, Armscor, Estate, S&B and Gego will work. Here (https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/ammo_search.php/caliber/10000716/v/1/sort/1a/380+Automatic+Colt+Pistol+%28ACP%29). However, you should get some practice 380 ammunition that is close to the same power as ammo you would be using for self-defense. Most folks shoot anemic target loads then put in self defense loads that are much hotter. Points of aim and bullet strikes can be different enough to "get you in trouble". If your target and self defense loads are close in power, your developed muscle memory will be similar with either load. Underwood Ammunition takes care of this with target and SD loads that are close in power here : https://underwoodammo.com/shop/handgun-ammo/380-acp/

I've been a police officer for more than 30 years. I've carried everything, every way possible. The best every day carry is the one you will actually carry. The Ruger LCP 380 is an awesome carry gun. It's a great size, decent caliber, and a quality manufacturer. Plus it's small enough - you will carry it. I own more than 20 handguns to include all 3 S&W Shields... I carry the LCP! It fits anywhere, and it fires every time. Keep in mind it's a belly gun, keep it close and personal and you will regard this little jewel as your best purchase ever. If you want a firearm to carry to the Piggly Wiggly to pickup a loaf of bread, and hope you never have to look over the barrel at a another person - go ahead and place your order. If you anticipate engaging targets at greater than 15 yards, or shooting a 1,000 rounds a month this handgun is not for you. Best of luck on your purchase, and remember you can have a hundred guns in your safe, but the only one that matters is the one on you when the shtf.
