I love these rounds for the Sound and Range but they are dirty well they leave power in my gun.

As I have written previously in reviewing other Hornady ammunition, I have used this brand since my days in law enforcement in the 1970s. Hornady has an excellent reputation for quality, and I have found that to be true from personal experience with this. I bought this ammunition for the purpose of home defense. In that application, I prefer heavier, subsonic ammunition that will give good penetration without over-penetration. The last thing I want is to have a round I fire in self-defense exit the target and enter my neighbor's house. Thankfully, I have not had to use this ammunition for its intended primary purpose, but I have fired it at the range in three Ar-based weapons: a custom-built 10 1/2" bbl Ar pistol, a Daniel Defense 10 1/2" bbl pistol, and a Daniel Defense 7" bbl PDW. While, as expected, the action cycled a bit slowly in the 7" PDW with the heavy subsonic projectile, the ammunition performed perfectly and consistently without a malfunction. I also fired this ammunition into gelatin with both the 10 1/2" bbl and the 7" bbl and found it to have excellent expansion and shock value without over-penetration.

Great ammo, overpriced! One box shipping over $40

Excellent Subsonic ammo, but you need a suppressor to recycle on some 300 blackouts!

No issues. Worked well with a suppressor.
