  For sure you can take down deer at ranges up to 150 yards but ammo will be a big factor.

• Q: With deep cut Ballard rifling what kind of bullet would be the most accurate? I reload 45 colt and typically use a hard cast lead 200 grain RNFP. I also use a 240 grain XTP bullet. Which would work best. I was told the Ballard rifling works best with lead bullets but I need conformation. Thanks.

  it will work great with lead bullets the 200 grains SHOULD be best but you never know what a certain gun will like so try both

  IT HAS DEEP CUT BALLARD RIFLING. IT USES 6 GROOVES. IT HAS 1:38 TWIST YALL. MUCH LOVE FROM TEXAS.

• Q: Is it possible to change out the straight stock to a pistol grip stock. I possible I think you would need to replace the lever to match the stock.

  James, no Sir. The "Pistol Grip would have to be so far back to clear the lever it would be impractical.

• Q: My experience with 45 lc guns is none,i have several44 mags and honestly not impressed with its performance I think its a over rated cartridge.but the 45 lc is a power house will this marlin handle heavy loads like buffalo bore or even top end handloads?? My top range will be 100 yards can this rifle produce decent hunting groups? Any help is appreciated,I have Marlins in every caliber but the 45 lc up until a auto accident I used my 1895G and my 35 remington but recoil hurts a bit more
