I've looked at the all the guns in this price point from all manufacturers and I really like the 555 Series. I've bought 3 555's; a 555E .410, 555 .28 ga, and a 555 Sporting .410. Great shooters that work every time. I really like the ejectors on the 555E. Highly recommend this gun and Buds!

Nice Little gun! Didn't want to spend the money on a high dollar gun and this gun did not disappoint. Very nice wood. Performs as well as the higher dollar guns.

This is a product review for the Stevens 555 Enhanced. I purchased this shotgun in a 410 bore. Now I know people may be hesitant to buy a shotgun with an alloy receiver. But I assure you that they are pretty tough. This is actually the second 555 I have purchased. I also own one in a 28 gauge. The 28 gauge I own is not the enhanced model so it does not have ejectors like the enhanced. I prefer extractors personally. I have put over 500 rounds through my 28. It still locks up as tight as the day I purchased it. I took the 410 out already to the sporting clay range. I put 100 rounds through it without a hiccup. The ejectors work perfectly. All the functions of the gun work the way they were designed to. Also the wood on the enhanced is quite a bit nicer than the standard 555. Also it has a thicker recoil pad. That would maybe matter to people wanting a 12 gauge model. I personally no longer hunt. But this gun would be a dream to carry in the field. It's super light. That is not an exaggeration. I would recommend this gun for the hunter or the casual clay sports shooter. I love both of my 555's. To conclude this review I have to add that Buds Gunshop offers a lifetime warranty when you purchase a firearm from them. So I did the sensible thing and spent the extra 30 bucks for the warranty. That was a no brainer. I hope this helps make a decision easier for you.
