CZ-USA CZ 527 American Bolt 7.62x39mm - Blue/Black, 21.8" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Beechwood Stock

I've been a Buds customer for years now, but have never taken the time to write a review. First off, I only purchase guns from Buds as they always have the best prices and shipping is extremely easy where I don't have to contact my local FFL for every transaction. Unfortunately, this was the last firearm I was able to purchase before they were required to start charging sales tax. Don't blame Buds guys, there was a new ruling that ALL online retails have to charge tax now. But with the firearm... It's AMAZING!! Old world craftsmanship combined with a beautiful hardwood stock. The rifle I received was the CZ 527 "Rustic". This little gun has a flawless fit and finish like you would expect from Remington and Winchester way back in the day before most American guns focused on profit rather than quality. It comes with scope rings right in the box and the set trigger is a joy to use. Being a true mini mauser action, it is controlled round feed with claw extraction and the blade ejector in the famous Kar98k. 7.62x39 is one of my favorite rounds of all time. The ammo is super cheap and hits deer like a 30-30. Granted the cheap Russian stuff isn't "match" accurate in this gun, but that's the ammo, not the gun. I also tried S&B soft point brass cased ammo and it shot wonderfully accurate. I've already put a second in lay-a-way and would recommend anyone to pick one up while they're still $489!!

You can't go wrong with a CZ built rifle. I was able to zero the rifle in 4 shots and never experienced a single issue with feeding or extracting. I had a 30mm scope on hand and found a nice adapter at DIP Inc(google that if interested) that allowed me to use the 30mm rings I already had as well. This is a perfect 100-200 yard deer gun and because of the low recoil and light weight, just about anyone can shoot it. The pictures doesn't give the rifle justice, it looks much nicer in person with that Beechwood stock. I've bought many guns from Bud's and plan to buy many more as they have the best prices and make it very easy to order online.

Extremely impressed with this new rifle. Before purchasing, I did my research. There are not a lot of bolt action rifles available in 7.62x39. I compared the 2 I could find local. This rifle was so much better in fit, finish, and overall quality than the big green rifle to which I compared it. Very happy with it. After one trip to the range, I am impressed. Considering another in 556.

This rifle is great! Exactly what one would expect from CZ. With a new vortex scope, it shoots 2 inch groups right out of the box.

First, Bud's service was incredible. This was my first purchase through them and it was an awesome experience and will do again. Now the rifle. I have owned the carbine version of this one and it is an excellent shooter and a joy to carry. However, after mounting a 2.5-8-36 Leupold VX3 on this American version, it is even better. It carries and balances perfectly. The accuracy is excellent. I have shot a 3 shot group that measured less than .75 inches and many in the .75 - 1.25 area. It is not picky as it likes Tula 154 SP and Hornady 123 SSTs. I was not crazy about the stock and honestly never would have bought it had it not been a crazy good buy at this reduced price. But when I opened it up at my FFL, It started to win me over right away. I cannot recommend this rifle more. This is my 8th CZ rifle between centerfires and rimfires. I am happy on all accounts. awesome gun, I have the 18.5 one so when this 22 came out I had to have it. reloaded some 7.62 rounds and went to the range, 1/2 groups at 100yds.

Its a solid shoot once broken in after about 80 rounds. Upon breaking it in you may need to tap the bottom of the mag to get the bullet to chamber but after the break in period I haven't ran into that problem again. Shoots very well on the bench as well with little recoil. The trigger also has a very short break which is nice.
