The Franklin Armory F17-L is an AR-15 type rifle chambered in .17 Winchester Super Magnum. It utilizes a custom designed gas piston system with a rotating locking bolt that is very similar to the original Eugene Stoner design. Because the .17 WSM produces 33,000 PSI of pressure, this is safer and more reliable than the blowback operation normally used for rimfire calibers. The barrel, bolt carrier group, buffer and magazine were developed by Franklin Armory especially for this caliber, but the remainder of the rifle is essentially mil-spec and can be used with any and all aftermarket accessories.

I understand there is issues, and that I have patience for, I have no patience when I am being ignored by Franklin Armory.I have written to them several times and have not received one shred of correspondence back from them. There customer service is non existent . I have $ 2,000 into the rifle and scope for a a gun that does not shoot consistently and a manufacturer that treats me like I am non existent.
