Specifications:
- Medium-contour barrel features a Ruger Precision Rifle® Hybrid Muzzle Brake to effectively reduce recoil while minimizing noise and blast to the sides of the shooter (thread protector included).
- Cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R Rifling at minimum bore and groove dimensions, minimum headspace and centralized chamber.
- 20 MOA Picatinny rail secured with four, #8-40 screws for increased long-range elevation capabilities.
- "Upper" receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel to minimize distortion.
- Three-lug bolt with 70° throw features dual cocking cams and a smooth-running, full diameter bolt body.
- In-line recoil path manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock, not through a traditional bedding system, providing maximum accuracy potential.
- Ruger® Precision MSR stock with QD sling attachment points features a bottom Picatinny rail and soft rubber buttpad. The left-folding stock hinge is attached to an AR-style buffer tube and accepts any AR-style stock. Length of pull and comb height are adjustable.
- Equipped with a Ruger Precision Rifle® Short-Action Handguard for improved scope clearance for long-range scopes.
- Magazine well front is contoured for a positive grip for bracing against shooting supports.
- Oversized bolt handle for positive bolt manipulation, with 5/16"-24 thread for easy replacement. Bolt disassembly tool is stored in the bolt shroud for easy striker channel cleaning.
- "Lower" magazine well halves are precision machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and are Type III hard coat anodized for maximum durability.
- Patent-pending multi-magazine interface functions interchangeably with AICS and M110/SR-25/DPMS/Magpul-style magazines (works with some M14 magazines).
- Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger is externally adjustable with a pull weight range of 2.25 to 5.0 lbs.; wrench is stored in the bolt shroud.
- Extended trigger-reach AR-style grip and 45° reversible safety selector. May be configured with any AR-style grip and selector.
- Barrels can be easily replaced by a competent gunsmith using AR-style wrenches and headspace gauges.

The PR seems well put together. It's heavy. The 6mm Creedmoor rifle shoots accurately with minimal recoil. The stock is very adjustable to get it right for you. I'd buy it again, but I do note that 6.5 mm Creedmoor ammo is more plentiful than 6mm.

Best bang for your buck. I took this on a wolf hunt and gun really did the job. It mad a 300yard shot look like it was nothing. I would definitely recommended this gun to anyone! I am looking to eventually expand on my collection with the 338 next.

Very accurate!
Likes the Hornady precision hunter 103gr. 1/2” groups 100yds
Did the same with the Hornady 108gr. match
Hornady blacks 105 gr. were at the edge of shooting 1 moa but groups averaged 1” overall

Sighted in at 50 yards with custom made ammo.Hornady bullets and Hogdon powder.Three bullets can make a large hole when I do my part.Confident that similar results may be obtained at 100 yards.

What can I possibly say about the rpr that hasn’t been said, mine is chambered in 6mm Creedmoor and the first time out with this rifle I was shooting sub moa at 100 yards while breaking in the barrel. Every firearm I own is a Ruger and that isn’t by accident, virtually anyone can get into precision shooting thanks to Ruger. Quality, affordability,dependability are all part of what makes this the best gun for the money. I will put this gun up against guns costing two or even three times as much.

Man, this is a sweet rifle, I had all smiles when I picked it up here in Houston at my LGS. Every one in the store was waiting for me to unbox this rifle. You should have seen the smiles and grins I got. I had to whisper budsgunshop.com to all the guys in the store( didn’t want to get banned from the store. :) It was like Christmas Day, and I had the coolest toy to play with. Every one wanted to hold it, see it, and handle it, to which I obliged. Buds you did it again I am one happy man

Great rifle at an even greater price. Bud's was wonderful to deal with, as usual. Rifle shipped very quickly and arrived as advertised. If you haven't had the chance to shoot a RPR, then you don't know what you're missing. This rifle shot 1/2 moa @ 100 yrds, with Hornady match ammo, right out of the box! I haven't finished the barrel break in yet (40 rounds shot so far) and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This thing can shoot !!! The recoil of the 6mm is very light and a blast to shoot. At 200 yrds I'm getting 1-1.25" 5 shot groups. I am extremely happy with my new rifle and equally happy with Bud's. Do yourself a favor buy a RPR and buy it from Bud's you will not be disappointed.
