Another great purchase from Buds gun shop. I'm always happy with Buds. The Saiga is flawless. I have two others and I've never had any issues with any of them.

This was my first purchase from buds and my first AK 47, with that said shipping was quick. Price was not the best, I purchased for 780$ and noticed that others were selling same firearm for 600$ to 700$.Build quality seems very well, the u.s palm magazine included locks up tight, tighter than the pmags purchased. Can't say much about plastic furniture, I changed the stock to a magpul Zhukov folding collapsible stock with some minor issues, but its rock solid. The handguard was changed to strike industries Trax 1 and trax 2, with no issues. The pistol grip was changed to strike industries with minor issues. One thing I noticed was the front sight post was not in line with gun and barrel, or canted is correct term used for this. I looked into this and found out that this is a common problem with most A.K's. Aside from that which can be fixed with some gunsmithing I have not fired it yet. But its a A.K and its a Saiga so I'm pretty sure the thing will shoot, but how accurately? I'm not for sure just yet, I will update review once a trip to the range is in the books.

This Saiga is my first ever AK47 style rifle. Ordering from Bud's was the usual painless process and it shipped to my FFL dealer quickly. It came fully converted, including the bullet guide, which I found allows this rifle to accept standard AK mags which I verified. My first impression of the rifle is that it seemed solid and was in need of a good cleaning. Once I got it all cleaned up it was off to the range. I cycled through about 200 rounds of 15 year old Wolf 122 gr. steel cased hollow points. Not one issue. Accuracy was surprisingly good; I had consistent 2" groups for most of my session. Not bad for iron sights and cheap ammo! I do have to adjust the front sight for windage just a bit though. Overall I am pleased with the Saiga. Seems like a well constructed rifle that functions well and is pretty accurate out of the box.
