I was looking for a 22 Lever Action that would be similar to my Winchester 94 but cheaper to shoot. I came across this Chiappa model and liked the looks so I decided to give it a try. Buds had it shipped out the day after I ordered it and it was in my hands 2 days after that. The rifle itself was very impressive to me. Solid and well made. Holding it up next to my Winchester it was nearly identical with the exception of the barrel being a couple inches shorter. I then loaded up 15 rounds and went out back to give it a try. The gun ate up every type of ammo from a mixed ammo box of 22 without a single hiccup. After a few shots to see where it was hitting I made an adjustment to the rear bucktail and I was ringing 8" and 4" plates from over 50 yards offhand with ease. I probably put close to 100 rounds through it without a single feeding issue or even a misfire. This is even with the manual stating it needs a 150 round break in period. I've got to say I'm super impressed and pleased with this rifle. As always buying from Bud's was hassle free and a pleasure!

Great Gun after about 150 rounds still want run hollow points, even after polishing all the parts to shiny just like i would slick out for Cowboy shooting, they are not metal, runs round nose as fast as you can jack them, Just fun, Buds... worst gun buying experience in over 60 years.. Never buy from them.

I bought this rifle with high hopes, but they were very soon shattered. First time I brought it shooting about 1 out of 3 rounds were "side detonating" out of the side of the receiver using 4 different brands of ammo. When this would happen, brass and debris would strike me in the face and arm. I bought this rifle for my 12 year old son so he could learn to shoot a lever action, but I couldn't let him shoot it, so he was very broken hearted. I sent it back to chiappa, and they claimed it was fixed, after about 10 shots, it started to happen again, and when I attempted to contact chiappa again they tried to convince me they already fixed and I was confused, but after arguing for several minutes, they had me send it to them again. I'm hoping they replace it and I will sell it to my FFL immediately for much less than I bought it for, then buy a Henry.

Great little 22 lever action rifle. Easy to disassemble and fun to shoot. I've used several brands of 22 and had zero issues with any of them. Fit and finish on this rifle is superb. Mounted a Barska scope and sling. Closest thing to a Marlin 39a replica in looks and functionality.

this is a sweet shooting little lever action the only problem I have is with the semi Buckhorn sights I can't seem to get an exact point of aim but I can work on that it took buds a little while to ship it to me because I sent a money order and things got messed up but anyway that's only a one-time deal I still recommend Buds and this gun

Stock photo shows case hardened receiver but it is actually matte black. Had a Quality Control issue. Had a chunk missing from stock by action and was filled with shoe polish.
