Made for the very serious business of self-preservation the 605 is built to the Taurus Zero Tolerance standard in design, fabrication, fit and performance. Meaning there is simply no tolerance for parts that do not perform as if someone's life depends on them. Using the powerful .357 Magnum ammo this quick-draw revolver has plenty of muscle to back it up. Features include fixed sights, crisp single-double action trigger and a transfer bar for added safety.

I like these so much I bought 2 of them ..One in stainless and one in black finish. these are as good as my smith & wesson at about half the cost of a smith. Never had a problem with the stainless version so thats why I decided to buy the black version. I hope it shoots as good as the other one. have not been to the range with it as of this review but i hope to go plinking with it very soon.

The gun is great. Not the most accurate once you start shooting past 7 yards but I knew that buying a snubnose. .38 Spc. is a delight to shoot back to back, but when loaded with some .357 Mag you better be holding that little thing with two hands. She bites and your hand feels it. I keep .357 Mag in her as my concealed carry.

This is my second M605 purchase. However, this one particular handgun kept locking up at the range. Although, my first purchase worked flawlessly my second purchase didn't. After calling Taurus to have it repaired the turn around on the return is 3 months. That's going to suck!

Norval, this is normal on this model Taurus. Mine took a few openings/closings to wear in. I helped it along by cleaning and using some light dry lube at the cylinder/frame contact points. She is butter smooth now. Also check cylinder for "free spin" to make sure it is not binding. Most firearms will have a wear in period of some sort. If you don't notice improvement after this, then contact Taurus for resolution at Taurus Customer Care (800) 327-3776 Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 10:00PM (EST)

Anthony - You ask for opinions, but didn't specify what your intended use is for the revolver. If you are going to carry daily, then the Taurus is the obvious choice, due to size and weight. If you want something to just shoot occasionally at the range, then the EAA is more what you're looking for. If you're looking for something to do both, then I would say the Taurus is the way to go, and then shoot 38s in it at the range. You could carry it with 357s ... but shoot a few first so the recoil doesn't totally surprise you the first time you shoot it. Shooting .357 in a revolver as light and small as the Taurus is going to be torture after a few rounds. The EAA could help handle the extra recoil. Bottom line is .. what you intend to use the firearm for.
