Hi Brandon, the 10-34 mount referenced below is for the 6.5" barrel, it will not work on this gun. You can replace the rear sight with this Allchin Taurus tracker RMR mount >>> allchin Taurus tracker RMR mount . Use the Taurus 10-034 mount that attaches to the rib. Easiest approach!

Good morning to you!! To answer the rest of your question, the front sight is removable but require a bit of work. The pin holding the front sight in mist be drilled out the front sight replaced, the drilled for a new pin. Needless to say that this is a job for a gunsmith or machinist. The Taurus 627 isn't drilled and tapped for a sight mount but you can get a mount on eBay (see below for link) for the Taurus 10-034 mount that attaches to the rib of the pistol. Hi Rone and welcome. This model has a Transfer Bar Safety. The transfer bar can only be in position to transfer the energy of the hammer to the firing pin if the trigger is fully depressed. Otherwise, without the trigger being pulled, the hammer can in no way contact the firing pin, making it impossible to fire the gun. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

yes you can. think about it this way the 38 special is the weakest ammo that this gun uses, then you have the 38 special +p and the heaviest ammo is the .357 magnum. If it is rated for a 357 mag it can easily handle the lower pressure 38 special +p ammo

Grab yourself a good wire cleaning brush that fits fairly tightly into the cylinder, dip it in solvent (Hoppes #9) and scrub that rascal down - good - do it twice. Try it after that. If you still have problems, then I'd say the problem is the steel casings. Brass cases expand a bit when fired, but brass is more 'elastic' than steel and it will resume it's 'normal' dimensions after that initial expansion. Steel, on the other hand, expands but doesn't 'shrink back' as it just isn't as pliable as brass. I know the steel stuff is cheaper, but sometimes it just isn't worth the headaches. If you have problems with brass, you might want to talk to Taurus. Good luck there.

I was skeptical at first about getting a Taurus instead of a Colt or S&W, but this .357 is really. Feels very solid and heavy and goes thru .357 or .38 like butter. I received another grip that has the Taurus logo and does look better than the one in the web. Went thru 100rds (50 of .357 and 50 of .38) on my first day. Went ok but needed some cleaning and lubrication. The ported barrel does make a difference in recoil. Big enough to make a statement but will fit for daily carry. Of course, Bud's always makes purchases amazing and shipping has improved as I keep buying more from them.

I watch Hickock45 every chance I get, he often mentions Bud's Gun shop. So when I decided to buy a single shot 12ga I ordered it from Bud's Gun shop, it was delivered to my FFL within a few days, I was impressed with the service, so when I decided to buy another handgun I decided to buy it from Bud's. I chose the Taurus Tracker .357 with the 4" barrel and a box of ammo. Like the shotgun, arrived within a few days to my FFL. Once I had the Tracker back home I cleaned it, loaded it and shot it, Sights were way off (to be expected) once adjusted I was putting rounds in a 4" MOA at 25 yds (I think I could have done better) the ported barrel does keep the barrel down and I never see the flash, of course I haven't shot it at night. I was honestly so impressed with this Taurus Tracker w/4" barrel I actually turned right around and bought the Tracker with the 6.5" barrel. These revolvers are half the price and shoot as well if not better than more expensive revolvers. I am highly impressed with Tracker and Bud's Gun shop. I will definitely be a return customer!

The ported barrel on this Taurus shoots very well. It keeps the front end down when shooting. Much more accurate with follow up shots.

I've enjoyed this gun from the first time at the range until now which is a year later. It has a nice balance to it and I feel a very good DA pull and excellent SA pull. It seems to handle magnum loads very well with the ported 4" barrel. Mine did not come with the ribbed grips but are more of a hogue type which I feel also helps with recoil. These of course are my opinions. Thanks to Bud's for quick shipping and a good price.
