Either a 416 stainless or nitrided 4140 CrMo steel barrel in a medium taper profile are offered for both 5.56mm and 300 BLK. The 22LR and 9mm models feature a nitrided 4140 CrMo M4 profile barrel.

Great gun and a great price. This is my first AR but I did a lot of research before choosing this one. Extremely well made and very lite. I haven't had a chance to get it out on the range yet but I am certain it will shoot wonderfully. Bud's was great too, as expected.

The cmmg is a amazing deal light weight n accurate. So far me n my wife put 550 rounds through wolf 223 556 steel no problems n some 5.56 lap. Only bad thing upper to lower fit was sloppy but a accu wedge made it perfect ridiculously tight fit now n hitting small cans at 250 ish no problem with eotech I love it n were not selling it. Buds was great to I called for a progress update when waiting for it to ship told the guy we were leaving for a shooting trip in a few days n he shipped it that day great customer service thanks buds we will be ordering again soon.

My first AR, so nothing to compare it with, but both I and my instructor were highly impressed with the quality of fit and finish - very tight and solid. For its solid feel it is also extremely lightweight and well-balanced. Added a Sitemark red dot and iron sights - both gave impressive accuracy once zeroed for BZO 25/300. Buds' usual easy and efficient processing. Great gun. Going to enjoying getting to know it and using it as a general purpose rifle.

Nice, light AR15. Took it to the range and ran 20 rounds in an shoot-brush-swab routine then 20 more rounds in twos. Also, tore down the fire control group and polished the contact points on the seres and their contact points. The groups pieces were well finished and needed little polishing with fine ceramics. The trigger worked very well before polishing and extremely well afterwards. Accuracy was good. Put a Sight Mark Ultra Shot Pro NV QD sight on it and got great hits at 100 and 200 yds with Winchester ammo. Since it comes stripped down, you will need to add some picatinny rail pieces to the fore grip and I added a sling ring attachment. Very pleased with this rifle and intend to take it to Front Sight Firearms Training Academy for a 4-day rifle course in May.
