Rating: 3 of 5 Stars!
The new remington 870's have two tabs inside the magazine tube that need to be filed off to accomodate this extension tube. Filing the tube will invite rust and has the potential to leave a rough spot that might snag the magazine plunger. This will be a problem for any 870 tube extension, not just Tac Star. My complaints with the Tac Star are that it did not come with a barrel clamp (which is arguably not necessary), and the inside of the tube was rusty. I cleaned and oiled it thoroughly, but could not remove all the rust to my satisfaction. The outside of the tube looks good, and fits the gun well.

A:Steven, this information does not seem to be published that I can find. My rough calculation based on the connection ring of the tube to the end toward the muzzle is approximately 8 inches. Remember it just brings the total tube capacity up to 7 rounds and does not add 7 more rounds.
