Colt's 1911 Competition pistol features custom G10 blue grips with a scallop texture and the Colt logo, dual recoil spring system, and National Match barrel. It has Novak sights for precision shooting with a fiber optic front with adjustable rear sight. It comes with a magazine and spare sight fibers. This 9mm model has a brushed stainless steel metal finish and a 70 series firing pin system.

I haven’t always been a colt guy, but always wanted one, so bought a Gold Cup a while back, liked it so much I ‘ve bought a couple competitions from Buds. My only gripe is, and it’s a small gripe is I wish the 9mm came in blue. My 45 is blue and there’s just something about the blue that I like more than the SS. Anyway, I’ve added to both a Magwell/mainspring housing and you can’t go wrong. Love the fit as I have small hands. Most likely will add to my colt collection. Working with Buds is totally awesome!

Put 400 rds through this pistol without any malfunctions. Very accurate, good grouping. Shot a little left out of the box, minor. Looking for a 9 mm 1911 under 1000, this is it. Highly recommend this pistol. Thanks Buds for great pricing and service!!

Overall great gun for the money. Trigger was not crisp at approximately 5lb and 12 oz. Had to polish the trigger components.

I purchased this Colt for shooting the USPSA Steel Challenge. I have fired about 300 rounds through it so far, it functions fine. I like using the Bud’s website for my purchases, you have a very good selection. I usually find exactly what I’m looking for. Great job guys!!

I fired 100 rounds through if without a failure. Was perfect. I used 3 brands of ammo (ball and hollow point) and 3 brands of magazines. Very accurate. I'm very pleased with the gun and Buds.

I love this gun. I've only had it a short while and haven't fired it yet. I have done a class-A cleaning job inside and out. The fit and finish of this pistol is second to none. I own several Colt Government Models in both 9mm and 45 ACP and I predict this gun will be my favorite. The only thing I question Colt Manufacturing about is their decision to use funky blue plastic grips. I'm old school and believe Colt Government model pistols should be equipped with rosewood grips with medallions. That just adds that little bit of extra class other guns don't have. I have purchased quite a few firearms from Bud's. Bud's has always come through with low prices and great service. I would recommend Buds Gun Shop to anybody looking for a new firearm.
