• Q: I see the VP9 on the Massachusetts approved list but I do not see the VP9 SK....is there a difference or does the VP9 alone make the SK legal?

  Arnold, this particular pistol is not due to it's lack of a MA approved Trigger. The state also requires a clearly visible loaded chamber indicator and a 10-pound trigger pull weight if the pistol has no external safety. Aftermarket triggers may be purchased and installed, but factory guns that lack a manual safety have to have a 10 lb trigger pull.. • Q: My son is taking his CPL Class soon so we are looking for a gun. I am trying to decide between the Shield 2.0 and this gun. I know the shield may conceal a little better but my son is 6'2 265 pounds so that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for your input!

  Take him to a local range that has rentals and let him play with the different guns he will know what he wants when he shoots/handles it

• Q: Hi;
  I've narrowed my selections to two guns. This question is for those who have experience with VP9SK and XD Mod2 triggers.
  Which gun has a lighter (pound wise) and smoother take up for trigger?
  Let's say, if we were comparing it to Kimber CDP Ultra II, which would be closer to the travel distance and pressure required.

  This is a tough call Ben. The VP9 will have a lighter pull by approximately 1lb but the XD Mod 2 is smoother with slightly less take up. Compared to the Kimber CDP, the Mod 2 is closest.

  Bob, just my opinion - I would look at the VP9 SK as I think they are very close functionally but the VP9 SK will have 13-round and 15-round extended magazines available from H&K in November 2017 (Not a concern if you are in a restricted location).
