I have owned about a dozen 1911s over the years. This one is a nice one. All steel, fit and finish parkerized is excellent. It came with wood grips but the hard rubber which I prefer was in the box. The action and trigger are slicking up from working them. The gun does not rattle as some have in my experience. First firing with Federal JHP and WInchester hardball both 230grn was 2 inches low palm size group at 7 yards target swinging. I installed a Wilson shock buffer but it prevented the slingshot release of the slide on reload (though I could still use thumb to drop slide release) I removed the shock buffer as I thought it crippled the gun. Some 1911s will work with it some will not. The clearances on this RIA all seem a bit tighter and I like that. Trigger is slicking up from firing and snapping. It is an excellent 1911A1 copy with the commander hammer, slight bevel on mag well, plain black low profile sights (Novak style). RIding my scooter, I dont like to waste carry and this one I carry in a leather over shoulder tanker US holster on my chest under my jacket. I would recommend this RIA to a friend.

The handgun was shipped much sooner than I anticipated, I was expecting a 5 day wait until it was shipped, but it shipped within 2 days and arrived at my FFL01 before I was even available to pick it up, I haven\\\'t fired it yet, but I\\\'ve given it a little cleaning, taken a look at it and greased the slides. The slide feels tight to the frame with smooth movement and the trigger is very nice, I don\\\'t have any complaints so far, it seems like a nice solid budget 1911. This is my first purchase from Bud\\\'s, but they are first class.

Slide to frame fit is very nice for the price point. Only comes with one ACT mag which works fine. Cheap grip screws and the bushings seem to be extremely too tight, upgrade those ASAP.

\r\n I am really satisfied with my Rock Island Rock Standard 1911 A1 in 45 ACP pistol. Lowest price anywhere at Bud\\\'s Guns, very quick shipping. I took it out to the range today and ran 100 rounds of hardball and cast 230 gr. semi wadcutters through it with nary a hiccup, sights were dead on and the pistol is very accurate and it has a very good trigger which i believe will even get better with time. I could not be more happy with my new 1911.

Lets start with Bud\\\'s. Always the best! Thank you! \r\n 1911\\\'s are the best and always enjoy shooting with them. Plus if you reload you get some exorcize picking up brass. I say this because not all pistols will work flawlessly with reloads but this one did. Not only no problems but a bullseye on the first shot. Then I thought, this can only go downhill from here but it never did. I had to stop shooting because the middle of the target was gone. This Rock 1911 is a keeper. Shoots straight and without hangups, it\\\'s reliable and you can\\\'t beat this price. I never did care about the name on a gun. What I do care about is how a gun works. And this 1911 works like a charm. You can spend lots more money on a 1911 but there is nothing better than bullseye at any price. Buy one.

Arrived quickly. Purchasing from Buds is a breeze! The firearm cam in great shape, no blemishes or marks and everything in working order. Comes with a hard box, manual, test round casings, a set of wood grips, a set of rubber, one (1) magazine and cable lock. I only ran 100 rounds of Federal red box fmj, but not one failure. Gun runs very smooth. Trigger has a \\\"sharpness\\\" I feel due to the serrations on the trigger. Trigger has a bit of creep and breaks clean. Feels ever so slighty on the heavy side, but don\\\'t know how much. I was shooting low and to the left, but feel that it was due to my own trigger pull. I don\\\'t have much experiemce with 1911s so I can\\\'t really compare. All in all this is what I wanted for the price range I set.

I don\\\'t care what anyone says about Rock Island I think they are mighty fine 1911\\\'s. I have Kimber, Colt, & Springfield Armory, the Rock Island # 51431 is still my favorite.\r\nMaybe it\\\'s because they are half the price & just as good. I just got 3 more of them from Buds, they are tight slide to frame, barrel to bushing, bushing to slide fit,\r\nallot better then my Colt\\\'s, & Springers. This makes 9 Rocks for me now, love every one of them. Not Sorry !!!\r\nThanks Buds for the good service.

All in all..I have to say this firearm is a fairly good value. It is accurate, and has functioned flawlessly through first 100 rounds. Fit and finish exceeded my expectations, pretty nice for a pistol in this price range. The fixed Novak style sights are usable, and I am happy I payed a few bucks more for them over the GI style. Only negative is the cheesy wood grips, but the included rubber grips are fine until an upgrade set arrives. I would also suggest you add a spare mag to your order, you will want one when the gun arrives. The Rock Island mag is also of fairly good quality, better than expected. Quick shipping from Buds.
