Purchased in May 2024 and have waited until I had the pistol “broke in” to review. Pistol look and finish were as expected. The G10 grips are sticky and to my liking. The first 500 rounds with the factory magazine produced several stove pipes and failure to go into battery. Removed some parkerization around the feed area then re-polished. I then acquired a Ruger and two Wilson Combat magazines. The next 500 rounds were almost flawless. I had two failures to go into battery with a dirty gun using Unique gun powder. Switched to Win Clean 244 powder and gun has functioned without error. Best accuracy loads have been 200 grain cast round nose. Gun shoots 185 JHP up to 230 grain ball and JHP without being finicky. 230 grain Armscor factory ball functioned flawlessly after broke in. For the price this gun is hard to beat. You have to keep it clean and lubed but so do most 1911 compacts that cost two to three times as much do. Overall the gun is fun to shoot once broke in. I gave it four stars due to the factory magazine and the polishing that needed to be done. Happy shooting!

The rock Island rock ultra CS as a wonderful gun that holds well in the hand, Rexx really well, has wonderful sites and a pleasure to shoot. Highly recommend it.

didn’t know what to expect but very nice looking pistol. It has all the up grades I would have added myself. It also feels very well built and tight, not cheaply done like other guns I’ve purchased. It’s been super accurate, I feel like I’m shooting one of those $1000 1911’s. Happy I got it. The only problem is it came with one mag and I’ve tried to get a couple other mags from different manufacturers to see which ones work best. That hasn’t been easy or cheap.

Great service from Bud"s,as always. Love my Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra CS .45 ACP 1911. It shoots beautifully and is probably more accurate than I am. I've only put 25 rounds of 230 gr FMJ through it so far. If it does as well with hollow points it may very well become my go to gun for EDC.
