I recently got the chance to fire this handgun for the first time and my initial impression is that it is a very good weapon. It was my first time with a 1911 and my first time with the .45 ACP caliber. Once i got used to the extra boom that comes along with a 45, i found that if i gripped it good and i did my part in not flinching, it stacked rounds where i needed them to. The ACT Mag that comes with the gun works flawlessly in the array of ammunition i used (Federal FMJ, Remington UMC FMJ, Winchester red/white box FMJ, and Defender re-manufactured FMJ). It would have been nice to get more than one magazine with the weapon, but the one they give is of good quality and are available here on Buds as well. The issue i had had to to with the front sight of the weapon. Towards the end of my session at the range, i noticed my shots were shifting left in a dramatic way. I'm relatively new but i felt completely missing the target at 15 yards to be strange. I looked at the gun a little closer and realized that the front sight of the firearm had shifted right a ways. This loose front sight is the only issue i have had with the gun and feel that over all my purchase of this weapon was a good one. The purchase and shipment to my local shop was great and went fast without any hang ups. I am going to go back to my local shop and get the sight locked in properly and keep the fun going!

Fit and finish are better than I expected. Gun was drowning in oil from shipping but after a thorough cleaning is a good looking pistol. The first 100 round there were 3 malfunctions but I can credit those to an old magazine and shooter. After this purchase I will be getting a full size as well
