Service through Buds was excellent, as always. Fit and finish on the gun are surprisingly good for a Rock Island. Eats everything I put through it, no issues. 4 stars because RIA absolutely needs to ship these with an extra mag.

The Rock Island .45 tac ultra fs is just what I had hoped it would be. With just a bit of trigger cleanup it’s a great tool to have fun with, and with the addition of a light/green laser attached to the rail it’s an awesome home defense system that I’m sure will work great for many years to come. It’s a nice, tight fitting, well packaged tool. The only thing I could hope for out of the box would be a more polished trigger system (not that it’s bad in any way, it could just be a little more refined and consistent) and a nicer fiber/glow in the dark type sighting system on top. Overall I love this gun and it makes a great addition to my safe in a 1911 platform.

Amazing gun. It actually came with a different slide than pictured, but Rock Island made it right (not Buds fault) and it was well worth the wait. They threw in wayyyy more than I thought they would to make it right. Ordering from Buds was a good experience and just recently went to the Sevierville store. Cool place.

Great 1911, no real issues. Although looking back, part of me wishes I would have gotten it in 10mm. Otherwise, it's a great .45 😁

Reviewing RIA #51485. Excellent firearm right out of the box. Fitting was tight but proper. It took 2 magazines to get the slide stop functioning. It has functioned every time since. I presently have just over 300 rounds through it and it’s definitely a keeper. It took about 100 before really coming into its accuracy, but it is on par with my match guns. I like the bite of the grips. Please note that this sidearm has a beveled magazine well and some magazines will not seat if they don’t have a tapered bottom plate. The standard RIA, Wilson slim, and Chip McCormick slim all worked well. Also, be ready to thoroughly clean the firearm when you receive it as it’s really wet with oil from the manufacturer. After some more reliability testing this could become my regular open carry sidearm.
