Buds was great however the gun i recieved had at 1 point got moisture in it and all the internsls are rusted, which is weird because the outside of gun was drenched in oil, but anyway I'm replacing all the internal parts at my expense, don't want to ship my gun back or use there mim parts again since it already needs a 100 percent takedown. Buds was great, RIA was bad

After a fair bit of research, I used my TeamBuds membership 90 Day plan to put a down payment to purchase this 911..worth ever penny! Gun has a solid feel: You'll have no doubt that you're holding an all steel pistol..it is extremely well balanced. The FLGR and Pic rail as standard is worth the cost built into the price(thoughts on that later) however, only one 8-round magazine (Act-Mag). The sights are adjustable, with hi-viz optic front, and white dot rear. The stock trigger is also adjustable, but as is, it breaks clean about 4/5 lbs. there is a vertical well with deep lines instead of checkering. The G10 panels are aggressive texture (imho) and has nice scallops for thumb to mag release button with firing grip (I wear lrg/xl gloves for reference), but I'd want the slide-release a smidge wider OR a bit thinner thumb safety. I'm breaking it in with 500 rounds of mostly assorted 230 hardball and 200 of assorted 135/185/200 bonded/flex-tip JHP. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this pistol: Everything you'd want in a more higher-priced 1911 gun from Springfield/Sig-Sauer/Colt that doesn't come from either a custom 1911 shop or a $2000+ race gun. Outside of things like lights or red dot, you'd need to do very little tuning to the gun out of the box..well, maybe have some of the edges polished down on the pic rail and the serration cuts (they are a bit sharp out the box). Simply put, it has ALL the high-end quality and accessories you'd normally have to pay extra for, but being a budget-level 1911 for under $800.

this is my fourth rock island 1911. I own an officer model. 6 inch tactical model and 2 government models tactical as well, trigger. Pull is about 6 pounds out of the box. By switching to a light seer and match spring, you can reduce that to 4.5 pounds and it will make the guns very performing. Swing, towing, combat, Magazine I have be shooting SWC ammo which is more accurate than the round ball.
