  No. I think you are referring to the trademark of Varmint Express. Varmint Express is a registered trademark of Hornady Mfg. Co.. I think that’s what you mean. 17 HMR is the name of the round. Hornady Magnum Rimfire. Henry used Varmint Express with Hornady’s permission.

• Q: Isn’t it dangerous for these pointy bullets to be loaded in such loading manner? Has anyone had issues?

  Remember, this is a rimfire cartridge. The firing pin mechanics hits the rim of the cartridge, unlike centerfire cartridges. You won’t have any issues. You might want to be a bit more careful if you get a centerfire version, but even then you should be safe. It was my pleasure to assist you.

• Q: Whats the best 17 hmr rifle?

  David, I don't know if you mean accuracy wise or rate of fire wise. I have a Savage 93 FVSS that I bought at Walmart several years ago and it is a "Tack Driver". I'm talking 1/2 MOA with CCI ammunition. The best does not always have to be the "more expensive" rifle. This was $179 out the door then.

• Q: Does this come drilled and tapped for a scope and with a scope rail to put on it ? If i got one of these i would definately want to put a scope on it. Thanks !

  It is not drilled and tapped. Its only a grooved receiver.
