The only time we ever used bullets designed for deer sized animals on elk was when we hunted the migration (herds of 100 to 500) and did not want to shoot through an animal and kill or wound another. It takes prefect shot placement to do it and we shot many out to 400 yards with the 270 win with 130 grain bullets and 25-06 with 120 grain bullets. The 6.5 is a bit light for elk but should do if you are willing to practice and learn where the vitals are (learn to kill them). I would not choose any 6.5 rounds for elk for me a .308 or 30-06 minimum

Hi Guy, this load would work within a couple hundred yards on Elk. I would choose a tougher bullet past this range because deer specific loads tend to have thinner jackets and break apart quicker for thinner skinned game such as deer. You will pay a bit more but, you want to put em down clean.

Very good hunting ammo. And cheap when things aren't crazy. Haven't shot much at the range but saw it kill a whitetail, 3 mule deer and an antelope this year. All one shot kills.

Great ammo great price, Just sighted in my new ruger precision in 6.5 after shooting 30 rounds to sight in gun, I set up and put 20 rounds and @100 yds I put all 20 in the 2" bull. most shots were in groups of 3 touching. Can't wait to shoot 500 yds.

Bought 10 boxes of this to break in my 6.5 creedmoor barrel. There is a monster rebate for $5 per box. Ammo has been great. Good brass and the shots have been pretty consistent at 100 yards. Price was excellent plus bonus of $5 per box manufacturers rebate. Ammo is fine but not MOA in my T/C Dimension rifle. It's pretty close but I can't quite make it happen. It's close enough to be deadly on whatever you point the end of the rifle at. Not sure if all the Non-Typical bullets have blunted lead tips but all 100 rounds purchased at this time do (purchased today 100 rounds of 300 Win Mag so we will soon find out that answer). Bought for the brass to reload and no issues there. Buds is great, never had an issue with anything ordered here yet.
