Steyr 39.725.2K M9-A1 Double 9mm 4 17+1 Green Polymer Grip - Stainless/Silver, 4" Barrel, 17 Rounds, Polymer Grips, 3-Dot Sights

This has become one of my most favored pistols to take to the range. Because of the trapezoid sights I have read and viewed on several reviews, I was very skeptical and unsure if I would be alright with this type of sight system. I thought I would give it a shot (no pun intended) and make the purchase. It took one trip to the range in order to realize that this type of sight was simple and comfortable to use. The pistol fit great in my hand and the point of impact became simple and quick to acquire. Great job Steyr, and a big thank you to Buds for offering this pistol online and at the right price.

You will notice how having a low bore axis is much nicer than most other pistols. The sights are unusual, but more exact than the regular three dot or Glock sights.

This a great shooting pistol with a very nice trigger. The sights take getting use to but other than that this is a very underrated gun that people should consider owning.

I received my Steyr from Buds yesterday and today I took it to the range. I was wanting to see what all the hype was about this gun and also to see if it could come up with my firearms I aready have, CZ, Glock, H&K, etc. The grip angle was different and so was the sights. I knew this watching all the reviews on youtube. My target was a regular size tying paper b/c I wanting to see how this guy was going to print. I don't shoot anything at the outdoor range less than 20 yards. My first clip hit the paper without any problems. My groups were OK for the first time shooting this gun. I put about 75-90 rounds thru the Steyr and everything went OK no hiccups and groups did improve. The weather was very cold, windy and the gun felt like a piece of ice not a good day for testing. Due to my impatients I had to know if this firearm was worth keeping. The gun is easy to take apart and clean. It was dry as bone when I got it but was oil before I went to the range. I am very impress with the Steyr. The grip is kinda slick but talon grips are on the way. Pros..The gun shot very well and even at 30 yards all rounds hit the paper. The recoil was almost as good as my compact Beretta. The ergo's did not feel any better than my CZ 10 and some others I have. However, very please with the feel much better than the Glock. The trigger pull was about 4.4 oz. The gun weight just a little over 34 oz loaded. It has a 17 round mag and they seem to be good quality. Inside seem to be very strong and should last a long time. Cons. the biggest complaint aftermarket suffers big time. Even though the aftermarket not there, the support of the Steyr is if anything goes wrong. They can be reach in Bessemer, AL. Ph. 205-417-8644. So for I am very impress with the Steyr. All the hoopla on youtube seems to be death on with this pistol that precious few gun stores seem to carry. Unless the Steyr proves me wrong later its a keeper.

I got the M9-A1 because of all the reviews online. For me the gun is underwhelming. Honestly it's just another optimized Glock. It shoots well but I noticed that every now and then the gun wouldn't fully seat in battery when racking the slide. You wouldn't notice it until you pulled the trigger or looked really close. The trigger pull was definitely different. When dry firing the gun slightly out of battery the trigger would cause the slide to finally seat at the same time you hear the click. Maybe it will go away in time. The trapezoidal sights are meh in my opinion, the grip to me is ok. I don't feel like I would have a good grip if my hands were wet. I put talon grips on it and it feels better. If I didn't have a bunch of other striker fire guns to compare it to then I would say it was ok but since I do...The PPQ is still the best option overall. It is a still a fun gun to shoot and it isn't very common so it has that going for it.

This pistol is amazing. These sights draw you into the front triangle and the trigger is the best striker fired gun I own! Even better than my Walther or H&K! I want to get the smaller version!
