Ruger Alaskan 44 Mag...love it..great power shooting,, I actually could shoot it with my shooting off...Ruger did a great job on this and it matches my 454 alaskan...it doesn't sting my hand like my other 44.....excellent gun

What a great 44 mag. I’ve shot 44 mag 180gr and 240gr, - all doable in regards to recoil. Also shot 44 special which is a very easy shoot from this revolver. High quality as you’d expect from Ruger. Buds shipped quickly and all good.

Well I haven't fired this firearm yet But it fits well in the hand which even convinced me to make this my daily carry even though it's a bit overkill being a 44 magnum I'm probably just going to use 44 specials when carrying this daily Some parts on this gun are higher quality than others for example the barrel cone is really well made it has no sharp edges to the touch which is really good the cylinder is the same way it's really well made and just screens quality now other parts have sharp edges Are made fast and not with quality in mind they have sharp edges and get the job done but aren't as high quality The list of parch goes as follows the ejector where that turns the cylinder the ejector rod isn't sharp but it's a little wiggly which may be a design choice the hammer has sharp edges The front I guess that really doesn't matter seeing how you don't touch that part but it does have some in the back too I do have to mention that the parts with sharp sharp Edges I think our mold injected parts and I do have to say a lot of this firearm from Ruger is mold Inject it Which the quality of mold injection nowadays isn't necessarily a bad thing that doesn't mean on this firearm they do it right the cylinder and barrel are great they Seeing how they are forged well the barrel is anyway the barrel is cold hammer Forged I don't know if that includes the barrel shroud if this gun has a barrel shroud As for the cylinder it feels and looks to be forged I would be really surprised to find out if it was mold injected which I don't know if that's even possible but being honest here Anyway once I fire it I may have an update review hope this helps good luck

This was my favorite revolver I have ever owned. Solid frame and great grip was a perfect combo to handle even the hottest .44 Mag loads. This was the first gun I ever bought from buds. The process was simple and Buds is and always will be my go to for ordering firearms!

Worth the money . Actually is an easy carry with a small holster . Nice hunting sidearm .

This gun is a keeper! It's a snub nose 44 MAG, so no hiding it anywhere on your body. The wieght helps with the recoil, and you can shoot any load of 44 MAG out of it. The whole reason for this gun is to strap to my chest when I'm heading deep into bear country. It's a woods gun. It is expensive, but if/when I would need to use it, I won't care what I spent on it as long as my family and I can get home safely. Diamond D Guide chest holster is a good addition. The one thing I wish it had, other than a lower price tag, is an orange front sight. The steel sight can get lost in failing light, but again if I am shooting at a threatening target, it's probably getting closer to me very quickly.
