Anthony, they can be given as a present. Just log in, click on the menu, then order status/account, lastly view my gift cards. That will show your gift card purchases. The gift card will have a code to enter during checkout, you can email the the gift card to someone or you can print the gift card out and give it to them that way. Either way very simple. You can use as many buds gift cards as you want, I've used 6 on 1 purchase, then finished with a visa card. You don't need to do this by phone but you probably could if you wanted. During checkout at the payment screen, select credit/gift card, then next, and at the top of this screen is a box that says "Enter Gift Card Code (Advertised Cash Discount Price does not Apply to the Amount of Your Order Paid with a Gift Card.) Gift Card Code:" Enter you gift card number and hit "apply" this will take the amount of the gift card off the price, then you can enter more. You can buy buds gift cards with your MC cards, and still enter 1 more mc prepaid after the gift cards are all applied.

Kevin, No expiration on BUDs gift cards. I don't have to worry. Spend them too fast. One point is BUDs gift cards don't get cash discount on purchases if you save cash then you can get cash discount on purchase.

Matthew, Confirm your code is 12 digits long. Make sure you enter the correct digits. Much confusion when you enter with 1-l, o-0, q-g, etc. Make sure you have the exact 12 digits. I know it sounds silly, but has happened to me many times.

So i bought a gift card and now i want to use it but every time i try to use the gift card the cart gives me a poppup telling me the card either does not exist or the balance is 0 so i'm guessing the card has not been activated yet. so i wonder if there is a confirmation process i need to wait on or something so i can use my git card

Does it show a balance when you go to - Order Status/Account - Gift Cards? I would refresh that screen in a few minutes if it does not show a balance.
