The perfect weapon for teaching the grandkids gun safety and to shoot properly.

Had this pistol for a couple years. No real problems overall. No super accurate, but a nice \\\\\\\'pocket pistol\\\\\\\' for the price, and all good at 25ft. Picky ammo eater with lower grain loads, but no issues with Remington Goldens, CCI MMs and others.

Awesome little gun. Obviously easy to conceal, accurate and fun to shoot.

Good value 22 plinker. Feeds and fires as it should. Accurate. No failure of any kind with either of my two of these.

Bud\\\\\\\'s was great. I haven\\\\\\\'t taken it to the range so this will be a superficial review based on very limited experience with the weapon. It\\\\\\\'s heavier than I expected, not a bad thing, necessarily. The only complaint I have so far is with the hammer. If you think you are just going to roll up, whip it out, pull the hammer back with your thumb and start firing, you are sorely mistaken. This thing takes four men with chains and trucks to pull the hammer back. Holy crap! I mean seriously. It\\\\\\\'s possible I have just have weak thumbs. However, I used to compete, and win, thumb wrestling competitions with my sister, who has super strong thumbs, so I don\\\\\\\'t think that\\\\\\\'s the problem. Hopefully it gets better with use.

I personally like it. Rather heavy metal, so it is quieter with little recoil. Nice to have 10-shot clips. California safeties are both good and bad. Overall for price good gun.

This 22 is my everyday carry. Its lightweight so much that you have to be careful to remember you have it on in certain places. I have had several offers to buy it but I refer them to Buds not gonna part with her. I did get one jam Ive put maybe 500 rounds through it so one isnt bad they have a gunsmith at the range took him 3min to fix it almost no recoil Im a tiny lady so its just the right size for me. Thanks Buds.

Got this little plinker to train my daughter in law about shooting. I was unable to currently afford a Ruger SR22 at this time. She is already trained on my Mark II, but its operation is not as standard as what she will be utlimatley carrying. I bought an extra magazine from the manufacturer. One magazine works flawless and the other will on occasion not go into battery on the first round on a full mag without a bump. This magazine does that about 25% of the time. But after the first round it has cycled ever round. \\r\\n\\r\\nAfter 100 rounds, it has not had one failure to feed or eject (except as noted above in the first round of full mag on that one particular magazine.\\r\\n\\r\\nTrigger pull is descent. Not gritty, but has a little creep. Not as accurate as my Mark II, but it is for 5 yard line training. Not shooting squirrels at 25.\\r\\n\\r\\nI like the firing pin block safety, as this gives my student the opportunity to dry fire without worry of damage. After she becomes proficient, I will transition her to a LCP II.\\r\\n\\r\\nAll in all a decent pistol for 127.00 for affordable training.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe biggest cons are: single action only, safety-mag disconnect, requires standard velocity ammo, requires more maintenance than a higher dollar firearm.\\r\\n\\r\\nBud\\\\\\\'s shipping was fast to my FFL.\\r\\n\\r\\n

Bought this for my grandson to learn on, so far he\\\\\\\'s had more practice clearing jams and FTF than making holes in paper. It\\\\\\\'s rough, though that\\\\\\\'s to be expected in a SA pistol at this price, but then I wasn\\\\\\\'t expecting a target piece. Trigger pull\\\\\\\'s gritty, but the see previous sentence.\\r\\n\\r\\nI just put it in the drawer, I\\\\\\\'ll pass it off later in some trade or sale, and to teach him I just bought a .22 LR conversion system for my Glock. Should have done that in the first place before throwing the purchase price and transfer fee right out the window. You want a cheap gun, buy the Phoenix but if you want something that shoots spend a few bucks more and buy a quality piece.

its a steel lined barrel however I am 99% sure that the Phoenix will not pass a melting point law however I suggest that you check with your local FFL as he would be the one doing the transfer paperwork

I understand this to have a magazine interlock with a manual slide hold open, external hammer and firing pin block safety. The firing pin should not be engaged with the safety active. I would ask Phoenix Arms to make sure yours is operating correctly at 909.937.6900 or by email at https://www.phoenix-arms.com/pages/contact-us
