Really not too bad considering it is a very very cheaply priced pistol!!!

FUN FUN FUN... I only paid around $120 for this little gem. I now have 3 of these 2 short barrel and one long. TROUBLE FREE. Safety takes a little time to get used to, but you will. 2000 + rounds put thru each. Keep them clean and they just keep plugging away.

Gun performs good just it is a complicated gun for a new gun owner to many safetys its almost an unusable gun for self defense its more of a range pistol to get people comfortable with the feel of a pistol for the first time

It fits perfectly in my hand, and is what I was looking for to keep on me or throw in my bag. I have only shot it a couple times, but it cycles well and for a close range pistol it actually is deadly accurate at 15 to 25 feet.

This is a very fun little gun. Replace the recoil spring every 500-1000 rounds to stop it from beating it's self up.

Good gun for the price my wife loves shooting with it no problems so far..

This seems like a nice little pistol for the money. Feels that the actions are all tight. The only issue I have with it, is the safety mechanisms with the magazine/safety sequence. Too much is not safe. There is a procedure you have to put the mag in to rack the slide, and you cannot drop the mag if there is a jamb. The service on the pistol from ordering to my FFL was great.

Ok, I received this HP22 a few hours ago and here is what I received: JUNK. Now, I\'m lucky in that I am handy and well versed in dealing with firearms that operate poorly or not at all. I did receive the HP22 in the delivery time specified and had no problem completing the purchase -- but, I came really close to refusing it from the FFL.

It only took about an hour or so to \"fix\" a BRAND NEW gum, can you imagine that? It\'s a very inexpensive gun otherwise I\'d really be peeved off!!

The single magazine that came with the gun was/is broken -- and completely fell apart, and the mag release would not initially disengage. The mag is junk. The \"dual safety\" puzzle is easily modified with makes the gun operate as a normal gun would...

Takedown is a joke, a cruel joke if you fear tools in general. I did finally get it apart, and smoothed-out some metal burs, re-oiled the gun and got it so it operates how it should, and I\'m assuming it\'ll function more smoothly after a couple of hundred rounds. I strongly advise buyers to view several relavent Youtube videos BEFORE you buy because if you do buy one, you will be needing to \"fix\" it. I have not yet fired the gun, but, now that it is all put together and operating as it should, I\'m confident that it\'ll fire fine.

As I said, I\'m lucky in that I do have the experience, the tools and can fix pretty much any problems. But, come on folks, this particular gun should not have EVER left the factory!

BUYER BEWARE!

its a steel lined barrel however I am 99% sure that the Phoenix will not pass a melting point law however I suggest that you check with your local FFL as he would be the one doing the transfer paperwork

I understand this to have a magazine interlock with a manual slide hold open, external hammer and firing pin block safety. The firing pin should not be engaged with the safety active. I would ask Phoenix Arms to make sure yours is operating correctly at 909.937.6900 or by email at https://www.phoenix-arms.com/pages/contact-us
