Union Army soldiers relied on many different types of sidearms for short range and close quarters combat. The revolver was unique in that it had the ability to fire several rounds per minute before having to reload. Revolvers were typically issued to officers and mounted soldiers, however some were purchased privately or found on the battlefield by infantrymen.

Distinguished by its octagon barrel and lever style loader, the 1851 helped to begin both the expansion of the West and the Civil War. The 1851 Navy is commonly considered to be one of gunfighter “Wild Bill” Hickok’s favorite handguns. The British government licensed the manufacturing rights and produced what is commonly known as the London Model. This revolver features an 7.375" octagonal barrel, brass frame, brass guard, and walnut grip. It is available in .44 caliber, weighs 2.5 lbs., and is 13.5" in length.

Very nice product. Fun to shoot, accurate. As typical with most blackpowder revolvers, it tends to shoot high, so you need to aim a little low. But that seems to be a generic problem with blackpowder revolvers. Pistol is well made for the price. The only thing negative I found is that it is hard to cap using your fingers. Need to use a capper to cap it quickly. Overall, good product for the money!

Awesome buy.
Good complete starter kit. The only thing you'll have to source are the wads, powder, and caps.
Ships directly to your address too. No FFL required.
Revolver is good quality. Mine shoots a little to the left, but once I figured out my hold it was as accurate as I am.
Just a word of warning, The Trigger is 2lb's with ZERO take up so the hammers going to drop the second you put pressure on the trigger.
10/10. Would buy again.

I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality and value of both the pistol and the accessories. The machining and bluing, fit and finish, and just plain good looks of the revolver make it a pleasure to hold and display. The powder flask, powder measure, and capping tools are equally well made. I haven't had a chance to load and fire it yet but am looking forward to a lot of good times with my new rig.

This was my first black powder firearm and this package is a perfect starter kit. The gun is beautiful and the accessories are all good quality. Loads of fun to shoot. The big boom and the giant plume of smoke when you pull the trigger will get you noticed at the range! Also a very cheap way to enjoy some shooting time. This has gotten me interested in firearms history and I'll probably get a flintlock pistol next. Bud's transaction (this is my third purchase) was smooth as always.
