• Q: Is this handgun really easy to clean and rack? I have bilateral thumb arthritis so it needs to be simple as I live alone. I was looking at the EZ shield but like this smaller one better.

  Yes this gun is easy to rack but the recoil can be a bit brutal on arthritic hands. My mom has had surgery on the ligaments in both of her thumbs and she hates that she got this gun.   Jessica, there is no manual safety on this gun, which is also referred to as the thumb safety. The thumb safety is a lever that you can switch with your thumb to the on or off position. Bud's description is inaccurate, this gun does does not have a manual thumb safety.
