The Emperor Arms Seylan TM1950 is a semi-automatic shotgun intended for civilian and security use, and mimics the famous M16 rifle in its layout and placement of most controls. It is remarkably light for its caliber and size.

To properly "break-in" your TM 1950, we recommend 50 rounds of heavy game loads, high brass, or 3" magnum loads. Once your TM 1950 is properly broken in, you should be able to cycle most factory 12 gauge ammo.

Emperor Firearms Seylan TM 1950 12GA, my first semi auto shotgun. Took about 10 rounds to cycle better. It has not missed a beat after a couple of "New" jams out of the clip.

It cycled 1 oz slugs rated for 1600fps well enough to believe it would eventually cycle other rounds. It couldn't even try to spit out 3" goose loads.
The safety flops around and has to be just about forced into safe. The trigger will not reset without pushing it forward. I could put a softer butt pad on it and deal with ammo pickiness for a cheap range toy, but it's pointless to have a semi auto gun that has to have the trigger manually reset every time.
Disassembly is a major pain too. I could barely get the barrel out for the initial cleaning. I haven't even tried to get into the receiver yet. It requires an unknown size extended hex key or narrow socket.
Maybe you'll get lucky and get a good one. Mine is junk.

Good 12 gauge copy of the ar15 style rifles.controls, and feel is very close to the same.like the choke tubes, but wish it had a more complete set, And some sort of marking to indicate what level of choke each one is. some failures to eject while breaking in with buckshot, but feeds most everything now. This gun is light and has a stout recoil with high velocity loads the thin rubber recoil pad is not to effective, on heavy recoil. However I used a size large limbsaver slip on recoil pad over the original pad, it looks like part of the gun, and cuts the recoil in half. The rear sight must be shimmed to remain on zero, ( a problem with all these type of sights) I also drilled out rear peep to 5/32" , and coated sight adjustment screws with blue locktite, Painted front sight post orange for viability. This now one of my favorite shotguns. Thanks buds

Great home defense shotgun . A few issues with cycling the 5 round , hopefully a few more rounds will help eliminate that . I believe there is a few 10 rd magazines on the market for this shotgun. It might help with not jamming on that last round . I give it a 5 on appearance, it is a real looker .

I just, recently, received my Seylan TM1950. After examining this shotgun, it seems to be a well constructed firearm. The magazine fits perfectly. Bud's video demonstrated how well this shotgun works. Thanks to Bud's for their second to none customer service.
