90 Day Layaway Plan No Fees for the First 30 Days $49 Minimum Purchase Required Only New Firearms are eligible for this program. The layaway plan is very simple to use. Just place your order online as you normally would, and select 'LAYAWAY' as your payment option during checkout. Upon receipt of your non refundable 20% deposit (personal check, bank check, money order or credit card), we will secure your firearms(s) from our inventory and activate your 90 day Layaway Plan. There are no fees during the first 30 days. A $10 fee will be added to layaway orders that remain open after this initial period. After 60 days, an additional $15 fee will be applied to your balance. During the Layaway period, you can either make multiple payments, or just make one final payment at the end, at which time we will ship your firearm(s). Just add the firearm to your cart and proceed to checkout. During checkout buds will have an option for layaway. You will have 90 days to pay it off. First 30 days are free, after 30 days $10 will be added to the bill. After 60 days another $15 will be added for a total of $25 added to the payment. Everyone says this gun is accurate but I also know that everyone has different opinions on what’s accurate. I have buddies that’s happy with hitting a pie plate at 100yds with a rifle and I’m not happy unless I can put 3 in a thumb nail at a 100 (depending on caliber) with that being said I know this is a handgun with a 3 inch barrel!! So how accurate is it from handgun range? 10,15,20,25yds?

Accuracy is pretty amazing, people are getting between 3 and 5 inches group at 25 yards. Excellent trigger too. Its not a competition pistol or match pistol, but for a 3 inch barrel revolver you will be hard press to find something more accurate in its category. I hope this helps!

Tanner, it really depends on the shooter more than the handgun Sir. Most firearms are inherently more accurate than the vast majority of shooters as attested by mechanical bench rest groups compared to human only groups. Can this firearm use 38, 357? I had seen on YouTube that a firearm tester was using both ammos. And said he got ammo from Budsgun.

This revolver can shoot both .357 and .38

Tim, The .38 Special and .357 Magnum are both rimmed, centerfire cartridges commonly used in revolvers. Except for case length, the .38 and .357 are virtually identical. .38 cartridges can be fired from revolvers chambered for the .357, but the converse is not true; .357 cartridges cannot be used in revolvers designed for the .38. Yes, this can shoot both 357 magnum and 38 special, any 357 magnum revolver can shoot both. You just can't do the opposite, so you can't shoot 357 magnum out of a 38 special revolver. But yes this can handle any 38 special ammo. Hope this helps.

Bought this gun, just got it home. Noticed that it had been fired a good bit. No way to tell how much? Does buds keep a record of said firearm? And at least, this gun was not cleaned? Is this normal for buds to fire a new gun (this much)?

It was test fired at the factory, not by Bud's. All manufacturers test fire their products and revolvers especially show signs of it. S&W revolvers are notorious for being a little dirty when they ship them out.

To my knowledge Buds does not test fire any firearms. If this was a brand new purchase you should not have accepted the firearm without inspecting it first and raised concerns before bringing it home.

That is a subjective topic. But if I was using one for concealment, I would go for a hammerless. If it was just at the range or open carrying, I would use the exposed hammer. It is all up to you.

Billy, the hammer version would work with the proper holster of course. I tend to favor a DA/SA in case I need to pre-cock for single action pull for best accuracy.

for concealed carry I would go with the hammerless gun. Ror range and home I would rather have the hammer so I can shoot it either SA or DA

The pistol has a nice trigger but the finish not so great. I notice a small nick once I pull out of the plastic bag. I feel I bought a used gun but paid a new price.
