Seecamp LWS-380 Stainless 380 ACP Pistol - Stainless/Silver, 6+1 Rounds

The perfect pocket pistol! Be aware that this is NOT a range gun, you will not find yourself taking the Seecamp to the range for plinking. It kicks like a mule (the .380 version more so than the others), but you should take it regularly to get used to it, verify that your ammo will properly cycle, etc. Speaking of ammo, yes it is very finicky. But once you find an ammo that works well (every pistol is different) stick to it. It is not cheap to take to the range, you will be shooting your carry ammo because ball ammo will typically not cycle; these were built off of hollow points, and to very precise measurements. These are get-off-me guns, they are meant for very close range. Now, the great: A very light pistol that has the same capacity as significantly larger models such as the Glock 42 and the LCP 2.0. All metal construction. Snag-free design. Cult-like following, and for good reason, they are masterpieces. If you conceal carry, but find yourself needing to deep carry, the Seecamp will not let you down.

Over rated little hand cannon with a mule kick. Shot one 20-round box of factory recommended ammo, some jams and failures to eject. After getting home from the range, noticed thumb-to-hand joint and webbing between thumb and trigger finger were bruised. Will dispose of it ASAP. Very disapointed.

Seecamp The online buying experience was easy and relatively quick. The list of preferred FFL's made it easy, I didn't even need to call them first. I have a Seecamp in .25acp, but I view that as more of a collectors item then a carry gun. I've only put 4 magazines through it, and it isn't as punchy as I've heard. I'm glad I went with the .380 over the .32. I've tried the Winchester silver tips, Federal Premium HydroShok, and the Remington UMC, all listed on the seecamp website and no problems. Only comes with 1 magazine,(which I knew) and the spare spring had a spot of rust on it.

Hard to find, highest quality semiautomatic you will find and at a good price but be warned it kicks like a mule.

Ok, out of the box, this little pistol struck me as being a little jewel…all shiny and beautifully machined! It fit my hand well for such a small gun. The grips are crisp and precise, allowing for good control of it in the hand. That is, until you begin firing it. This beauty of a pistol is an absolute beast. This is not a pistol to be taken lightly. The recoil is stout! I was able to fire 4 magazines of the recommended Winchester Silvertip ammunition without failure or malfunction. I was shooting from about 7 yards at a dinner plate sized gong target, and I believe it hit the target each time. I couldn’t be sure, however, because of the pretty severe recoil and muzzle blast. I then had my brother, a 260 lb. man of 65 years of age fire the little pistol. His 2nd shot stovepiped, I believe, due to a limp-wristed hold on the pistol. He cleared the jam and finished firing the rest of the magazine with no further malfunction. I couldn’t convince him to shoot the gun any more. He did have a prior injury to his trigger finger tho, so I can’t blame him. I have reached some preliminary conclusions about this little pistol so far: >1 my preliminary conclusions are based on firing only 38 rounds, not enough to make firm recommendations. I need to shoot it more, and will do so. >2 I cannot recommend this pistol (in .380) for anyone who is prone to limp-wristing any pistol, or is afraid of recoil. Perhaps a Seecamp in a lighter caliber would be in order here. >3 I really like this gun, and I expect it to see a lot of rear pocket time. I don’t expect to be firing it very often, because, quite frankly, it is no fun at all to shoot. But as a last line of defense, I would bet my life on this little jewel!

Looking for a pleasant .380 acp to shoot...well, keep looking, this is NOT your gun. Looking for the ultimate concealable handgun for last ditch do or die defensive use? This is your pistol in spades. This is the Rolex of pocket pistols: everything you need and nothing you don't. Seecamp has a fantastic website so look it over and READ THE MANUAL before you take the pistol out of the box. Don't say you weren't warned. As to ammo I found Sierra hollow points (Bud's had them) performed flawlessly. This is a niche gun for serious self defense and you will forget you are even carrying it.

Beautiful little gun fit and finish is superb. First time out to the range was plagued with ejection jams. Used only SEECAMP recommended ammunition.

Fired total of 160 rds in 3 range sessions. The kick is very heavy. Jam many times no matter what ammo I feed it. I used 3 new factory magazines for the range shooting and everyone of them jam. I follow the Recommendations to used Remington UMC 88GR JHP Freedom Munitions X-DEF 95gr. HP Winchester Silvertip 85gr. HP .Alots of Jams in about every 10 shots fired. I am very unhappy and took a 60% lose of value to trade in for Glock42. I really want to love this seecamp but the end result is a big disappointed. I own older Seecamp 32 so I know the gun. I clean it with EEZOX , polish the feeding ramp, and change recoil spring every 50 Rds, Not Working. I am so upset I don't even care to send back for repair.
