#4 Buck Shot has been hard to find. When I saw these on Buds Guns and so I bought several boxes. Upon receiving them I was a tad disappointed. They say they are 2 3/4 shells, yet they are truly 3 inch shells. In my Mossberg 590 that normally holds 8 1, I am able to fit 7 1. They shoot fine and pattern really well. If you are willing to sacrifice 1 round capacity, then these work great.

These and the Rio 00buck will not feed through the box magazines in my Emperor king 12 shotgun.
They appear to be well made. not sure why there%u2019s a problem. Estate, federal, fiocchi, and several other brands feed through the King12 with no problem. They do feed through the tubular magazine on my Winchester with no problem. If you have a box magazine shotgun, get only 1 box of these to make sure they work. The problem I%u2019m seeing might be particular to the king 12 and no other ones. Still worth 4stars. Just try them out first.

I have purchased the Rio Royal Buck #4 buck three times now, I have shot 50 so far with 0 malfunctions. I have them for home protection and do not feel under gunned.

Have fired these rounds many times over the past three years. They performed flawlessly! These are basic #4 buckshot, no buffer or conventional wad but for close range inside of 30 yards they did fine. According to many experts and the folks at IWBA #4 buck produces more kinetic energy and tissue destruction than 00 Buck at home defense range. I use my Midland backpack shotgun with a full factory choke and I got 24” patterns at 40 yards!
