For iron sights I'd go with Magpul mbus, they're little pricey but some of the best irons you can get. Yes you can have both most people have a red dot and back up iron sights set up. For a red dot you have several great options like sig saur romeo, Bushnell trs-25, everyone loves vortex strikefire 2 and eotech but getting little pricey. Hope this helps.

Due to the barrel being shorter the 16" this is classified as a pistol and has to many banned pistol features, it is not allowed in HI

Has anyone had trouble removing the stock faux suppressor? I have done all I can without damaging this thing and it hasn't budged. Vices, band wrenches and cheater bars have all failed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My go-to for all thread on muzzle accessories is a pipe wrench with a t-shirt in between to avoid scratching everything up. The threads are on the muzzle end (not the way most muzzle devices are designed) and I believe have a wedge lock washer for vibration resistance in lieu of threadlocker so heat might not help so much. When things are really stuck I tap the end of the wrench with a hammer. Some type of vise block recommended as the aluminum receiver is the next weakest link.

Ive always had good results using heat. The manufacturer probably put loctite on it making it extremely difficult to loosen. If you have a torch apply slight heat to the muzzle brake and hopefully that'll work. If you don't have a torch I've heard of people shooting a mag or two as fast as you can threw the firearm to heat up the muzzle and removing it that way. If that doesn't work I'd do as James said and contact the company and hopefully they can tell you how to remove it or they'll remove it for you. Hope this helps.

I could not find the specs for the 10 inch barrel anywhere even on freedom ordnances website but did find the specs for the 8 inch barrel and overall length is 24.5. so I'd imagine add 2 inches for an overall length of 26.5. hope this helps.

Accepts Glock 9mm magazines

The FX-9 pistol has a familiar set of operating controls for the avid AR-15 user, it accepts AR-15 stocks / braces and buffer tube assemblies,as well as most free float AR-15 rail assemblies.

The FX-9 comes standard with an ETS 31 rd double stack Glock style 9mm magazine. When we designed the FX-9 our goals were Reliability, Affordability, and familiar controls for the user.

The FX-9 is machined from billet material, anodized type III aluminum components . Steel components are full hard nitride and nickle boron nitrided including the barrel, bolt, ejector, last round hold open, feed ramp and extractor for extended wear properties and corrosion resistance.

The upper and lower receiver are more than 1.00" shorter than a standard AR-15 upper and lower receiver making it more compact and lighter than a standard mil-spec AR-15 design.
