Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm - 16.5" Barrel, 17+1 Rounds

Great shooting carbine. Used the rail kit for a light and put a red dot that cowitnesses with the sights on the top rail. Came with 2 17 rd mags. Bought a 20 rd mag. Can't find 30 round mags yet. This was a lot of fun at the range. Shot a variety of ammo.... steel cased, aluminum cased and brass cased, FMJ and hollow points. Shot all equally well with no issues. Hitting 6" steel at 75 yards with no problem. Very light carbine and entire stock is plastic. When you first pick it up it feels like it would be easy to break and a little cheap. After ~200 rds at the range, started to have more confidence in it. Wouldn't use it to break a door in but makes for a lot of fun at the range and easy to carry around.

I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on a Beretta CX4 carbine in 9mm and boy was it worth the wait. I slapped an Aimpoint Micro red dot sight on the carbine and went to town at the range. The CX4 is accurate and reliable. I put over 200 rounds of various types of ammo both FMJ and JHP through the carbine without a single failure of any kind. I'm a lefty and a great feature of this weapon is being able to configure it to support left handed shooters. Just switch the extractor and ejector to the opposite sides of the bolt and you have a left eject carbine. The crossbolt safety and magazine release are reversible as well. The only negative I have to report is that the trigger pull is atrocious and the trigger itself as well as the hammer is made of plastic. I fixed that with a trigger/spring/hammer kit from SierraPapa in Portland, Oregon. Overall, I am very pleased with the CX4. The positives well outweigh the negatives. This gun is a real shooter.

I'm glad I paid the extra money for this version (included sling, rail kit, stock extenders). The gun shoots great with no failures through 200 rounds. Very accurate. Ergonomics are excellent. I did have to purchase a mag adapter for 92 series magazines at an additional cost of 55 dollars. IMO that should be included. Changing it out was a tad bit difficult but you tub video helped out greatly. Smooth transaction and fairly quick shipment.

Just what I have been looking for, for a long time... Beretta has put together the best 9 MM carbine on the market... everything about it is ambidextrous...

I currently own 6 Beretta pistols so I have lots of 92 series mags
Unfortunately Beretta leads you to believe you can change the PX 4 mag well for a 90 series mag well and you are fine.
Not so. When you go to Beretta’s tech website your find you need a different mag release (not in stock) and a gunsmith, at least in my case needs to make the change.
Just so you know the 17 round 9mm mags with the star on the back are what you need.
I ordered 5 20 round mags for the PX4.
Hopefully they will fit.

As always the transaction with Bud's was easy. Transfer to my FFL easily done. Berretta CX4 Storm worked right out of the box as expected. Only used 50 rounds to check it out. Then home for a good clean & lube. Only the little things needed adjusted, i.e., sights, my getting used to the trigger. While the trigger feels a little heavy, it is a new firearm for me and as with every new firearm it will take a little time to get used to it. But again, working with Bud's is easy.

Ok Buds you asked for a review and here it is: the carbine is amazing, I did a test run at the range and it performed flawlessly. Plus it came with a nice case and all its rails (top, sides and bottom). Fast shipment as always. Another thing, before i ordered this carbine i made a mistake ordering another product, next day i called to the customer services and asked to change my order. The staff were very kind and helped me make the changes. A+

This is my second purchase of a Beretta CX4 Storm and I absolutely love this firearm! Over five-thousand rounds and not a single FTF/FTE! It runs anything I've put through it. It's pinpoint accurate to 25 yards, and easily the most fun I have at the range for quite a while. It's light, but still has enough mass (even in 9mm) that there's no noticeable recoil, so it's easy to stay on target. It's easy to clean, and inexpensive to shoot (9mm). As a bonus, this package comes with extras that my original didn't, sweetening the deal. The only change I'm making is the installation of the 92 magazine well adapter, so I can use 30+ round mags, instead of the two 17 round PX4 magazines that come with it. (Good thing for me I've also got a PX4 Storm)

I had been looking to purchase a second CX4 for the past two years, and it was difficult to find even used units that weren't outrageously priced. It was impossible to find any in new condition, so I was ecstatic when I saw Bud's had new stock, and I purchased right away. I'm tempted to order a third!
