Never met a Savage that wouldn’t shoot. This one is no exception. At 25 yards, 5 shots in a little over 1/4 inch using Remington target ammo. At a little over 5 1/2 pounds with a red dot, it’s easy to carry and doesn’t get hung up in the brush. Bolt was a little gritty at first but a good cleaning and some oil along with cycling it about 30 times then cleaning and oiling again and it’s smooth as a baby’s behind. Feeds flawlessly with no failures of any kind.

This is a Bud's exclusive, and I love it. It is my .22 LR subsonic, suppressed platform. I considered all competitors and chose the Savage for: accuracy, trigger design, integral picatinny rail (don't need iron sights for my chosen application), great camouflage execution, great price, and of course factory threaded barrel. What if my optic fails? It doesn't matter; I got my first Daisy BB gun when I was four years old. The sights broke off immediately, and I spent my whole childhood and teen years point shooting. What do you know -- I'm a Vietnam Vet, and tactics changed in the jungle, so they trained us on point shooting as well as conventional marksmanship. This Savage Arms Mark II FV-SR is a great point shooting platform.

I wanted this rifle long ago when it first came out, bit it sold out. I signed up for when they were in stock and got it! Fast shipping and arrived in great condition, with no problems with transferring through my ffl!

Bolt is very stiff & gritty at first, but smooths out quickly. Very handy little rifle. The camo job is nice & if you look close, the name of the company that did it is in the camo. No rattle can job here, very nice.
