Maverick 88 12 GA Combo 28"/18.5" Flat Dark Earth - 18.5" Barrel, 5 Rounds, Synthetic, 3" Chamber, Flat Dark Earth Stock

Great combo, can't beat the price. A tool that maybe does not look fancy, but definitely works and gets the job done. Had a little disappointment with this Flat Dark Earth finish though: it started coming off after I racked it about 50-100 times to initially break in / smooth the action. Now it has black spots of original synthetic stock / forehand, which does not look great. I'll probably strip it off completely and either leave as black, or do some better finish myself. But other than that it's a great shotgun. If you don't mind cheap FDE finish - go for it, or maybe consider the black one instead.

Great shotgun so far!! Buds service was excellent as always; I own a Mossberg 500 and the Maverick 88 appears to be nearly identical. I took the Maverick apart to clean it and all internal parts are identical to the Mossberg except the trigger group. Took it to the range and have put around 50 shells through it so far, no problems or jams. I did put a recoil pad on the stock and that seems to help with the recoil, which I have found to be tolerable. I like the FDE colors, too. Overall an excellent choice, and for the money I got the combo package, which included an 18.5 inch barrel and a 28 inch barrel. I highly recommend this shotgun!!

Can’t go wrong with this combo at this price point. Not a 590, but it shoots well and perfect economical shotgun.

Fantastic shotgun for a fantastic price! I’ve had zero issue with it and it does come with both an 18.5” barrel and a 28” barrel. Th is was my first purchase from Bud’s and I was very impressed.

I could not believe the price I got this combo for. I had to buy it even though I already have both a 12 gauge security 88 and a 28" barrel 88. Guess those might be for sale now. LOL! Worked the action and swapped the barrels at my FFL dealers house before I accepted the transfer like Bud's recommends and everything was sweet! Needless to say at the price they had on this combo they were sold out before I even got mine and that was like 5 days after I placed my order. Kind of reminded me of pre Covid Bud's. Pulled the trigger but haven't shot any live rounds yet.
