Hello, Does anyone know if this model comes with the series 70, or series 80 safety?

All Rock Island 1911s are '70 series, no firing pin block safety.

I've found these to be the longest lasting and most reliable. Does this pistol come with wood grips also?

Bennie, this model comes with only black rubber grips although they can be swapped out with any standard Government model sized grips you like.

There is one that comes with wood grips. They are "blanks". Grips that have not yet been stamped with a checkered design.

I have one of these in layaway right now but upon looking online I'm not finding really anything on this 1911 I was just looking for pictures videos reviews etc. I'm not sure if this is even what the gun looks like any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Weird burs on beavertail which wears between thumb and pointer finger, that's only gripe, runs flawless and is very accurate but a lil snappy compared to other 1911's I own and I'm guessing it's the small guiderod idk anyways great gun and good price just wish they wud HV smoothed that beavertail a lil better.

This is probably the best 1911 on the market at this time for the price.... and the transaction with Buds was flawless.... the weapon seams to be flawless so far as function and its every thing I had heard them to be for accuracy... I'm very happy with product

Very impressed! Very little recoil, beautiful gun, great price and looks way better in person. I've put around 150 rounds through it without any problems. If you're in the market for a 1911 variant you can't can't go wrong with this gun... Thanks Buds
