HOW MINI ACTION 6.5GREN 22 5RD - Blue/Black, 22" Barrel, 5 Rounds, Synthetic, Olive Drab Green Stock

Great riflr at an affordable price. Only issue was the magazine release is not designed very well and if you touch it while in use the magazine drops out. Do yourself a favor and buy to upgraded release button which corrected this issue. Bud's again came through like a champ and was a pleasure dealing with them. They are my go to for my firearm, ammo and accessory purchases.

This Howa was a mixed bag for me. It was very smooth and accurate, but the ergonomics just didn't work for me at all. The stock fit me poorly, the bolt throw was awkward, and the safety was at the very end of my thumb's reach. I suppose that's the risk of buying a rifle you have never handled. 3/5 for me, because fitment is just as important as accuracy for me.

After receiving this firearm I had buyers remorse.
The gun came without receiver screws and they are in the parts page.
The trigger guard, magwell, are cheap plastic. The mag release is designed wrong. The slightest touch and you will lose your mag . And at more than 50 bucks for a new mag that's unacceptable.
The bolt is smooth and fast. The 3 position saftey is a little rough though.
I was fairly disappointed in it. I did find 1 company that helped tremendously. I bought an aluminum trigger guard/magwell and a redesigned mag release
The gun is solid now. But it cost me 150 dollars for parts to make it really reliable. If I had known all this in advance I would have bought the CZ in
6.5 grendel. If anyone is having issues with the faulty mag release, i will gladly share the information regarding the part that WILL fix it.

Very happy with my Howa 1500 mini in 6.5 Grendel. Rifle is well built and functions smoothly. Accuracy out of the box was impressive. Installed Warn bases and rings with a Luepold VXII Ultralight scope. Once I sighted in the scope, I shot two 5 shot groups at 100 yards with Hornady factory ammo. One grouped 1 inch, the other 1.5 inch. I'm not the steadiest so I'm sure groups could be tighter. 5 shot magazine is easy to use, no malfunctions, tight fit no rattles. Trigger is crisp and reasonably light. Less creep than my CZ. Buds was great to work with per usual.
