Description

The Colt 1873 Single Action Army revolver was arguably the most popular selling pistol ever produced. The Colt single-actions were exported worldwide and manufactured in numerous calibers including .22 LR. The Colt SAA in .22 caliber was very popular due to the cheap price of ammunition and light recoil in a full sized revolver that looked exactly like the big Colt .45. The lightweight Stallion comes chambered in not only .22 LR, but also .38 SP.

It has a smooth action and will pester pinecones with the best of them. Fit and finish are very good for the price. I should have added this one to my cabinet years ago.

Gun a long period to be delivered, I believe this is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Looks and feels nice, trigger and hammer action feels smooth and easy, look forward to shooting it.

Drop dead gorgeous firearm. Great fit & finish- flawless. Straight shooter & super smooth action. I have 5 other single action 22's from Heritage, Ruger wranglers & single action 6's and this one is the cream of the crop. Authentic single-action function & feel. About 500 rounds thru it in the month that I've had it with no issues.

I bought this gun because I like old Western style revolvers. I have dubbed it "The gun that pays for itself." Because it's 22lr, every time I fire it instead of one my larger caliber revolvers I save money. Eventually it will pay for itself.
The wooden grips, brass backstrap and trigger guard, color case hardening and blued barrel give this gun a lot of character. My FFL, a gunsmith, listened as I rotated the cylinder. Without, looking at it, he said that's a high quality gun. He said he could tell just by the sound. Looking at it, the fit and finish are great and it shoots very accurately for this type of gun.
It's a keeper and a favorite of mine.

I am very pleased with this revolver. It took a little longer to be delivered because of the type of order it was. No problem, it was worth the wait. The Cattleman Stallion is a very good looking SAA Uberti makes quality weapons. Fit and finish were very good. The case hardened arts were very well done and the bluing was deep and flawless. The grips are nice and well finished. My only complaint was the cylinder rod was installed incorrectly. It has a flat that must be against the barrel or it is very hard to remove. The Stallion is accurate and the trigger is light and crisp. The action is tight and lock-up is solid. The ejector rod works great and does not bid on the cylinder. The Stallion has a brass backstrap and trigger guard. There is no type of safety. This is a five rounds only for carry. The Cattleman Stallion is an excellent alternative the Ruger Single Six. It is less expensive and performs on par with the Ruger.

After fooling with 3 great semi auto pistols and their inherent jamming problems, i finally have a well built that will never jam. The fit of this gun is very tight and the cylinder pin almost had the best of me, but i managed to get it back together. Its accuracy is very good and the sear is very nice. My gun has no transfer bar and the safety is in the pin which is the best of the two. I still load 5 because the hammer should be released on an empty chamber. Because the gun had to come from the distributor, i had to wait for delivery. This is the first time buds disappointed me, but so is life. I steongly recommend this little single action and if you get one you won't be disappointed.
