"God made men, but Sam Colt made them equal," was an Old West saying referring to the Colt .45 "Peacemaker." When the 1873 Single Action Army (SAA) hit the market, the U.S. Army purchased 93,000. Custer's troops at the Little Big Horn were armed with the new revolvers and lawmen and outlaws alike were quick to adopt the new six-shooter.

Cattleman models are made in "old" or "new models" with fixed or adjustable sights. Optional finishes include charcoal blue, polished nickel, stainless steel, and old west antique.

This is a beautiful piece of hardware. Very smooth action and easy to clean. You really can't beat it for the price. My only comment is that it will take a bit longer to get to you, so plan accordingly. I'd allow at least 3 weeks for an ETA.

I purchased an 1873 Cattleman. Beautiful gun and great packaging. Buds offers me buy it now prices for less or layaway several guns if I like. I appreciate great communication and value an amazing company. Thanks everyone at Buds, I buy all my guns from y'all and ensure other gun enthusiasts are aware of your name here in Oklahoma.

First of all. The gun being sold under this link is the nickeled 5.5" SAA clone, and not the 7.5" as depicted in the photo. The quality of the gun seems extremely high, and I could only really come up with one negative thing about it. The nickel is perfect, the lock up tight, and the action is smooth. My only gripe is the grips. It's a pretty plain looking grip, that came with a couple scratches, and one nick that has noticeable wood filler in it. It looks back, but doesn't hamper the gun any. I hope she shoots as good as she looks otherwise. Five stars for Uberti.

The Uberti on your t site was. misidentified as having a 7.5” barrel. The first person I talked to in customer service stated they thought the gun had the 7.5” barrel. I told her that I had checked the Uberti number with the number with the Uberti catalog I had downloaded. She said she would call Uberti and verify the number. When she came back she said it came back to a Uberti Cattleman nickel plated with nickel plating and wood grips. I told her that was indeed what I was looking for and if she could help me get it ordered. I got a notice that it was at the FFL dealer about 10 days later. The gun was in perfect perfect working condition and it did indeed have the 5.5” barrell. The nickel plating has the appearance of being of more of a tin plate and not nickel plate. I used a polish called Flitz and after 3 applications the finish is now very beautiful. I feel fortunate that the gun had a misidentified 7.5” barrell on your site and was being passed by. Always go by the verbiage when looking for a gun on Bud’s web site and check it out with customer service. I love my Uerti and it shoots very accurately and the action is very tight with no slop in the action. Thank go to Bud’s customer service for all their help. Good job.
