Beautiful pistol to go with my Henry original 44/40 rifle. Shoots true and is an awesome gun to hold.

This weapon is of excellent construction, and operates as expected. Loading, and unloading spent cartridges, give a feeling of what it was like when these guns were in use way back when. With having no rear sight, as most of these old recreations don't, once you learn where to hold on your target, they are very accurate. I actually prefer this model over the .45LC version, but I can't tell you why, it just a feeling.

Got this from Bud's earlier this year. Love it! They only had the 44-40 in stock at the time, so thats the one I chose. I've grown fond of this cartridge and am planning a rifle in 44-40 as well. This pistol is stunning. I own a Cimarron Frontier that has decent/nice color case hardening, but this one is downright gorgeous. The hammer action is noticeably tighter than the Frontier but still feels smooth and solid. Shoots to point of aim (if I do...). The grips were beautiful. A glossy deep "red" with some noticeable grain, however, me being me, I stripped them down and restained a duller brown color and rubbed in a little TruOil. I've shot about 40-50 rounds thru it and it feels great.
