Great little woods gun ! A improvement over the Springfield Scout. TPS Arms improved upon the Scouts safety as well as including a captured take down pin. Gun comes with a full choke, so I ordered a modified choke so I can shoot .410 slugs if I want. A very simple gun, executed well. If this type of gun fills your need you really can’t go wrong.

Great little survival rifle or truck gun or varmint exterminator. This come in so many different calibers but I decided on the 22LR/410. Unfortunately .410 is not as easy to find right now. It breaks completely in to two parts. It is a breach loader so it isn't made for self defense although with the right ammo you have two shots. A lot of improvements over the original Springfield version, Accurate, very low recoil, good ergonomics, easy to load, easy to clean, easy to shoot and light weight if you want to carry it backpacking. The onboard storage is a plus. You always have rounds readily available. TPS Arms does have additional parts on their website to fit their rifle. Arrived at my LGS/FFL quickly once it left the shipping department.

Great product made in USA with improvements over springfield armory's "made in croatia" version.
The captured "ar-15 style" takedown pin is a much needed improvement and the new stock and ammo holder inserts adds a little more storage capacity. My only complaint is youtube reviews made it seem like the product shipped with (2) .410 inserts and (2) .22lr inserts allowing the end user to customize their ammo storage but it only shipped with one of each. Not a big deal but if anyone else is under the same impression then I figure they should know.
Another upgrade is that it is threaded for chokes.
If anyone has a choice between an older springfield model and the new TPS version I highly recommend this one.
