  Yes, this is milspec so you could literally add or change anything you want. You can replace the barrel, upper, lower, stock, little parts like charging handle, mag release, whatever you want to swap you can. Not sure if you're new to ar15s but it's a great way to learn the platform is to buy one and just start swapping parts out until the next thing you know you have a whole other rifle in parts sitting in your spare drawer. Then you build a rifle using those spare parts. Hope this helps.

• Q: Help with this little problem I'm new at this sport.
  This will be my first AR-15
  I'm confused on the front page it says 5.56.
  But on the product information says 223/5.56 NATO which one is it.

  Firearms rated for 5.56 can shoot both 223 or 5.56. now 223 chambered firearms can only shoot 223 because 5.56 has higher pressure and can cause damage to the firearm or worse. 5.56 is the military version of 223. Just remember if the barrels stamped 5.56 it can shoot both. If it's stamped 223 it can only shoot 223. Hope this helps.

  This should do fine with steel cased ammo. As with any firearm you may find it likes certain brands better than others. So I'd recommend to just grab a couple boxes of different kinds of steel cased ammo and see Wich one it runs reliably. Hope this helps.

  Yes Sir. The barrel is stamped 5.56NATO so it will fire both 5.56 and .223 no problem.
