Ruger American .22 Magnum Bolt Action Rifle - 9+1 Rounds, 22" Barrel, Flag Design Stock, Synthetic, Blue/Black

I love this rifle. The engraving and paint are done very well. The weight and balance are just right, and the trigger feels light and crisp. I was hitting small targets at a distance right out of the box, no sight adjustments needed! The rifles pop up iron sights do their job well. A scope can be mounted as well, but for 22mag I'll stick with iron sights for now. With the small caliber there's almost no recoil so it will be good for my kids to learn on without developing a flinch, and of course it operates just like my larger caliber hunting rifles so it will help build and maintain muscle memory in the off season. The magazine was tricky at first to get it released, but with practice this isn't a problem. I've had no jam so far, but with bolt action I wouldn't expect that anyway. The bolt movement is smooth, and releasing it for locking it or cleaning is a breeze. Overall, I'm happy with this rifle and plan to use it often for small game, plinking, and display. I'd buy it again without hesitation!
