The Savage 212 is the best factory production bolt action shotgun ever made. The Browning A bolt smooth bore could be real close, but I have never even seen one. This isn't your Grandfather's bolt action shotgun. Rifle like trigger, Win thread removable choke, comes with turkey choke, stock adjustable for length and height, modern polymer magazine, and picatinny rail. The only negative to me is it's optics only...no bead no front sight. I am using a red dot on the 212 Turkey smooth bore. My advice is get one before they are gone. I gave my local gun store a chance to get close to Bud's price ordering. They told me Bud's price was below their wholesale cost. Bud's was by far the cheapest price I had found on the web. I never thought, I would see a factory new smooth bore bolt action again!

i haven't shot the gun but I like looks and feel of it. adjustable stock is a plus also
