Fun little gun! Easy to drop in your pocket for a quick hike. The only drawback is a heavy trigger pull. Bought for my kids to shoot and they can’t pull the trigger.

Perfect trail and fishing gun with shot shells. Stiff trigger but I consider that added safety while I decide to shoot said creepy crawley

Product arrived as described. Very pleased customer as the service and shipping were quick and efficient. I will happily continue business with Buds and have already successfully referred other pleased customers.

I had no high expectation on this gun other than it should work. It did not. Total waste of money. Gun would not even shoot at all.

I cleaned it and started shooting it right after I got it home from my FFL dealer. I have always wanted one of these but I was leery about the quality of these Remington Mod 95 clones made by Cobra and now by Bearman. Cobra went out of business and Bearman took over making these derringers, at least that's what their customer service rep told me. She also said that they were now making a better quality firearm compared to Cobra's derringers. Now why would I be talking to the customer service rep you ask, because after a handful of rounds put through my new Rem Mod 95 clone, the top barrel decided not to fire anymore. The bottom barrel still goes off, 70% of the time, but the top barrel said "NOPE, not doing it anymore". I called Bearman and they are supposed to be sending me replacement firing pins. I am now waiting on replacement firing pins.

First off, I have no idea who Bearman Industries is but their name is on this weapon, which I expected to be a Cobra Firearms weapon. I did not realize this discrepancy when I picked the gun up because the gun is identical in every other way to its description and appearance on Buds site. I tried to do a quick internet search to get some info on the company and could not find much of anything about them or their association with Cobra Firearms. The weapon did not come with a manual it instead came with a card directing me to the Bearman Industries website to download the manual. When I went to the site, there was a message that the website was under construction. I'm concerned. I had to eventually go to the Cobra Firearms website to download a manual. I don't buy weapons from companies I know nothing about for this very reason. As for the gun itself - the gun is very attractive as appearance goes and it has a nice heavy weight to it. I personally enjoy heavy guns made with real metal and this one checks that box. Loading is simple - just turn a switch and the gun unfolds to allow you to load the two chambers. There are two firing pins that automatically switch between the two between each shot. The gun is well designed, ergonomically. I have large hands but the curve between the grip and rear trigger housing is designed such that a finger easily slides in that section and creates the feel of holding a full frame standard sized weapon. It's also fun to shoot but the trigger pressure is very high and according to the manual that's an intentional safety feature to account for the fact that there is no trigger guard on this weapon. Also, the trigger doesn't ever raise very far off of the rear housing it rests against so there is no pull-through. It feels more like PRESSING a very stubborn button than it does PULLING a trigger. It has a built in extractor for expanded shell casings, which is of course a nice feature.
So you're probably wondering why I gave this gun such a low rating. The reason is that mine arrived damaged. One of the firing pins won't engage so my brand new 2 shot Derringer is a one shot Derringer fresh out of the box and the manufacturer has an unfinished website! Yeah I'm pissed to say the least. Also, one of the chambers doesn't seem to have been machined properly as I have to apply additional pressure to load it - pressure I don't have to apply to the other chamber. Lastly, the gun is very picky about what type of ammo you use. You will have to experiment with ammo because some types expand too much for this weapon and even with the extractor rod it's really difficult to remove the spent casings. I watched a few videos of people testing this weapon out and that was a consistent issue. No one seemed to have the firing pin issue I had and the weapon seemed to be pretty accurate for a Derringer.

Well first day I received, I could not get derringer to fire, followed all instructions, looked at video's, discussion boards etc. I realize it has a hard trigger pull but I had 2 people try to read instructions and pull tigger and its not happening. I dont think it would be worth spending money to have it fixed. Ithis pistol will not fire.
