Came in great shape. Good rifling, no cracks, smooth bolt (for a Carcano. Accurate with the right ammunition.

Received rifle in very good shape. No cracks, missing screws, serious dings or dents. Cleaned up real nice. Bayonet locks up tight, stored or opened. Better than most Milsurps you get when ordering sight unseen.

Nice surplus rifle, at that price I bought two

Got a very nice rifle from 1937. It was not one of the Italian/Ethiopian rifles. It was pretty dingy and had two rust spots under the wood. But after disassembly, cleanup (0000 steel wool and oil for the surface rust/b.l.o for the stock) and reassembly it is a good looking rifle. Some of the parts, like the bayonet, were a little loose but they tightened up just fine.

Really like buying from Buds. I knew the risk, yet still disappointed it did not come with cleaning rod, so I can only go to 4 stars. Happy to have this rifle and feel it is well worth $249.00.

The Carcano arrived to my designated FFL very quickly with no issues. I brought the rifle home, and it had a lot of Cosmoline on/in it, which I appreciate! Both segments of cleaning rods were in the stock as expected.I was happy to receive one from 1919, as for me I prefer the older rifles. Lots of surface rust, but the bore looks great, shiny with well defined grooves. Barrel and receiver match. More surface rust than I hoped for, along with minor putting under the wood line and around the rear sight, but it should clean up well. Probably the most rusted military surplus rifle that I have ever purchased, but it’s luck if the draw and I get that. Bonus points for a nice tight bayonet lever lock/release. Wood has one minor crack up front, but no worries with that. Cool piece of history.

Mine came in very good shape. I've seen quite a few of the various Carcano variants from these waves of old surplus we've been getting the last couple years and mine from Bud's was one of the best, condition-wise. Stock has a few dings from age, of course, but no cracks. The action is free of the rust and pitting many of these rifles have ended up with, and the bore even has plenty of rifling left. Even the magazine is clean and still has most its original bluing.

Was very impressed with the condition of these rifles. Those who are concerned with the availability of ammo, yes there is an issue right now. However keep in mind with all of these (and the Ethiopian cache) rifles now out in the wild, there will certainly be ramped up production. In fact, in addition to the Norma and Prvi Partizan, Steinel Ammunition is making it as well (including loads specifically made for the carbines). It may be a while, but I think finding ammo for these rifles is going to get a lot less difficult. Pick them up while you can!
