Windham Weaponry R16FTM9MM R16FTM Semi-Automatic 9mm Luger 16" 20+1 Mission First Black Stk Black Hard Coat Anodized Windham's R16FTM rifle is a semi-automatic with a blowback system. It has an upper and lower receiver that are constructed of 7075 T6 aircraft aluminum with a black hardcoat anodized finish. The 16" barrel is made of 4150 chorme moly vadhium with a A1 flash suppressor and 1:10 rate of twist. It also has a Mission First tactical minimalist stock with two QD sling swivels. his model has front and rear flip up sights. Let me say Buds did fine on there end. When I opened the box the Windham Weaponry 9mm look like it was done well. Like the floating hand guard set up. The barrel is a government profile. However the collapsible stock was frozen at the pin it took some force with some tools to get the pin lever assembly parts to work. It did get better with cycling the lever pin assembly and stock a bunch of times, but it is not a smooth set up at all. The next problem was the one magazine it came with would not seat even with the bolt open. After many tries and considerable force it finally seated. I can now see the problem appears to be a pronounced step in the back of the magwell on each side. Near the top there is negative clearance with the magazine it was shipped with. There is now gouges and aluminum particles in the back of the magwell. The magazine looks like a ASC. As it stands this $1000 plus 9mm rifle is unshootable. Really disappointed with Windham Weaponry on this. Would have thought they would have at least function tested or test fired a few rounds before shipping. For now I'm going to order a Colt 9mm magazine to see if it has more clearance than the ASC magazine.
